I was out today at Gamestop and asked about the new giants. He basically agreed with me that it would be strange if they only got as the only new item in on that day so he said it's possible to see new guys and then I found this site saying this, however says mid to late January so it's possible for her to come out next month, but on a later date. I was told today that TRU didn't have any new boxes....so it could be a release for gs only here. What's interesting is she insisted they didn't get ANY boxes since Christmas, and that it was due to the closure of Snoqualmie Pass. We had quite a bit of snow around Christmas up there. Might also explain how my local gs stores don't seem to have anything new either.

Yes Mori the prices are without a doubt horrendous, but I only like the site for confirmation and they have for now been right about everything with little to no mistakes. Just look at the amazing images around you of and popping up and be very happy we really have something to hope for and the images really support our hopes and dreams.

And here, all this time, I've been working on my craft, learning how to do new things with new technology, networking with people in Hollywood, and busting my hump to survive when all I needed to do was be patient until Eye Brawl was released and all my hopes and dreams would come true!

But in all seriousness, I am very happy the new Giants are coming out already. My daughter has been asking and asking for "Baby Humpback Whale" and Hot Dog since the game was released. And anyone with children knows when a little one wants something (and it's not an outlandish request like an iPad or their own phone line) then you really want to do what you can to get them these little things.

Pictures don't mean anything to me. Just because they have a pic in their box doesn't mean he is coming up, but chances are likely.

Remember also all of the ebay posts saying that thumpback was supposed to be out in late November? Then in December? All of those were told by the manufacturer also. So, I would wait before getting all excited.

100 bucks says it's not out. Employees lie, are misinformed, or have the ability to troll, too. They aren't out yet. My guess is the middle of January.

Gamestop gets their shipments from UPS. They are not going to be delivering today.

You know what really anticlimactic? is the last giant to come out and she's coming out with Wrecking Ball and Spyro. At this point throw in LC Pop Fizz and you got some real irony. Spyro was one of the first figures you get via the starter pack and Wrecking Ball came out relatively early now there some of the last few series 2 figures to come out and Pop Fizz was one of the first newlanders available, yet his LC is one of the last. Why even leave a chunk of magic skylanders for last, I mean the first game had three left, but were of three different elements.

Okay. I called them. They said that there were no shipments coming today, but they will be there on the 9th.

Spyro, at least, makes a certain amount of sense.

About 30% of the player base started with Giants (a large portion of them never playing a Skylanders game at all until a week ago). They're hoping that most of those players who want Spyro won't wait until the Series 2 version is released, but instead will buy the previous game.

It will suck if Ninjini is the last to come out and they drag this crap over to the summer. By then I won't even use her, she will just sit in the box like the last to release figures from SA.

I doubt they will wait to release the last new figures until the summer. However, take a look at wham shell they may have waited to release him in mass amounts to keep the hype up for giants. If they do the same thing this time we could be looking at Ninjini being in short supply as they want to keep people looking for her. Which will end up making people mad but, a lot of people want the giants and everything out now.

I think dragging it out to keep up hype for the next game just ends up ticking people off. You don't see other games doing the same thing with important dlc. Most dlc is released at the same time or soon after a game comes out, people play it and it's done. Games like Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty are perfect examples. People don't just forget about the series after finishing the latest game. They are still super hyped/exited when seeing news of a new game a year later.

There's no "calm down" to it. You sounded like you were complaining about the design of the figure and I'm asking where the problem lies. The figures in the auction look just like the ones in all the stock photos.

Just for the record, what you're looking at on those auctions is one that didn't work properly. If you read the description, the figure isn't recognized on the portal. THAT'S why it's a reject. And RFID chips should be easily fixed, so it's probably a good guess that it's stolen.
None of the Giants have a round base so far. There was nothing wrong with Eye Brawl's eye. And the chain isn't supposed to wrap around Thumpback...the end hangs down to the base. The chains on his back are part of his armor. These were not the reasons it was a "factory reject".

Well, we have Skylanders Universe. I think that might actually let you play together online with other players but don't quote me on it. I do wish they'd release some dlc or a special online multiplayer disc though. I wonder if it's just that activision doesn't want it's online servers being used for anything but it's cashcow COD?

With the Wii version selling so well? Very likely! I think the "Main 3" aka xbox, wii, ps3 will always get the game. It's other consoles that may not.

I would say the Wii U is definite, TheLurk. Moreso than the original Wii, IMO. Although, like the PS2 in the PS3/Wii/360 generation, I expect the Wii to stick around somewhere into the new generation of consoles.

The Wii will most likely be like PS2. Sticks with the generation but then slowly fades to nothing but ebay and garage sales

I have messed around a little bit on Universe. It does let you interact with other people, but not much in the way of playing. You will get quests to get X amount of friends or start a dance party with X amount of people. You can race on it, but nothing like PvP or anything on those lines.

That doesn't sound very fun for multi. Maybe we need to make a petition for Skylanders online multi for the consoles. They might begrudge us a server or two from COD if they feel there's enough interest.
