Yeah I have Employee Break, he is exactly the same as a normal Lightcore Prism Break.

Not really, a chase variant is something that you can buy at the store. Stone, Gold, etc Skylanders that are actually randomly put in boxes are chase variants. Employee Break, E3 Spyro, etc are just variants as you aren't "chasing" them.

^ Apparently it does not. That distinction is reserved for Winter Break, the retail chase variant that ships in the Shroomboom assortment.
