The employee Prism break sold for 1700. I guess. I didn't see it but it was posted on here a couple of times.

E3 2011 (EDIT: 2011! Not the Chrome one from this year.) single pack Spryo would undoubtedly be the most expensive Skylander ever sold on eBay. If one even exists anymore.

As far as eBay is concerned, yes, I am fairly certain that the $1700 Employee Holiday PB is the single most expensive Skylander ever sold to this point! To Tashiji's point, I also believe that an E3 Spyro (perhaps even the Gill Grunt) in mint/near mint condition would fetch 4 figures on eBay to the right collector! Honestly, I've seen pictures of an unopened E3 Spyro, BUT never of an unopened E3 Gill Grunt. I'm blessed that I have the 2011 E3 Trigger Happy, but finding these are becoming so increasingly rare. I also believe that there is a distinct possibility, that the "right" one of a kind Skylander prototype, could also fetch such a sum on eBay to the right collector. Last month, one of three known to exist Crystal clear ICE Stump Smash variant prototypes sold for $412 on eBay... In terms of rarity, the 2011 E3's and confirmed prototypes floating around are vastly rarer than the recently released Employee Holiday PB where 1000 are assumed to exist. Guess time will ultimately tell...

DluA are you saying 1000 of the employee ones exist? I thought I saw in a couple of places where they said about 8000 e exist.

I don't honestly know the exact number. A fairly reliable source guesstimated 1000, but it could very possibly be 8000? I hope not though. I'd hate to think someone shelled out $1700 for a less than "rare" figure...

^ I think he was talking about numbers.
IF their are 8000 out of the employee prism breaks the reason it is more expensive is that it is harder to get then buying a bag of chips and winning. |

Yes.
And while it seems flocked stump smash went down in price, the sidekicks went up! Ill prolly pay for the $85 on ebay. |

Heh, if it turns out there are 8,000, I'll pick one up when they cost fifty bucks.

Wow so its pretty much offical then, theres less Fuzzy stumps than the employee Ex.? Thats....odd. LOL Seeings how Fuzzstump goes for nothing now (Well 30 ish give or take). But still..wow. I'd say the one I've seen go for the most though is that Employee Ex. Prism Break, that went for 1,700. Sorry but thats alot of cheese for a plastic toy....

Honestly, I hate to think someone shelled out $1700 for ANY figure. Because it proves that Activision/TFB could improve their revenue by artificial rarities and having officially sanctioned company representatives sell the figures on eBay or Amazon at inflated rates. Of course, they could already BE doing that on a limited scale with the "chaser" variants and nobody would be the wiser. I assume the Better Business Bureau would smack them silly if they ever tried to do something large-scale, like sell hundreds of Thumpback or Ninjini @ $50 two weeks before the figures became 'officially' available ... |

and how may make me stupid pills did you take before making that post? do you really think a multi million dollar company like activision actually gives a cr** about a couple of thousand dollars worth of revenue from the sale of variants? |

How much did I pay for what? My E3? I don't have the Employee Exclusive PB yet... E3 Trigger Happy was pricey, but it came with the chrome spyro as well, which I sold to soften the expense. I spent approx. $300 on my T.H. Have been offered $1000 for it, so perhaps it wasn't too bad a purchase!? Regardless, I'm happy to have it in my collection...
