How much is average for him? Is $30 too much? Also is he the differ in the game? Worth picking up or wait?

Worth picking him up, but $20 would be my max.

I think he's just regular old gill grunt in game, no difference in appearance sadly. But I do plan to get one eventually since he's one of my faves.
25 would be my max.

I got him for $22. Felt it was a totally fair price for a figure that will appreciate in value eventually.

It does nothing different in game. Only worth it if you collect chase variants.

I think that is a good price. You maybe able to snag him for cheaper if you try hard enough and get him in one of the off hour auctions.

^ Yeah. A lot of people make the mistake of just listing their stuff whenever, instead of aiming for hours where buyers will be online to bid it up at the last minute. I would recommend late night, early morning, and (strangely) Friday night between 6-10 as excellent times to buy.

He shows up as S1 Gill Grunt in the game. I paid $51 and got GGG, Dark Spyro, and 2 magic items.

I read an article online once that said to list your auctions so they end Fri through Mon. The Fri and Mon part are because more people are likely to buy something those days as a 'reward' for the end/beginning of a work week (thus the Fri 6-10 you mention) and then there's the Sat and Sun in there because obviously most people work M-F and are more likely to have spare online time for weekends.

I've had my best luck scheduling auctions to end on Sunday night. That was when some (awesome) lunatic paid $150 for a Gnarly Tree Rex Wii without the game or any of the figures. I still don't fully understand why, or for that matter, how that happened, but I love Sunday night end-dates even more as a result.

Try your local craigslist. Mine has people selling the entire starter pack (ie, the 360 game, Spyro, Trigg, the portal AND Green Gilly for $30-$45. I was trying to get in contact with someone selling it for $20 which would have been fantastic, but they never got back. I might bite on the $30 ones though.

To be honest, I think a lot of people ended up buying the bundle for the 360 itself, rather than for SSA.

^ They do. A lot of people do not realize it doesn't come with the big hard drive. They just saw the 150 price tag and were all over it.

The Xbox version of Spyro's Adventure, which comes with the Green Gill Grunt, is $35 on Amazon. If you have prime, I think you can get free shipping on it.

So, you could get 3 figures, a game, and a portal for pretty close to what that single figure would cost you.

Yes, but how do you know if it has the green gill grunt? The image shows the standard S1 version.
