Saw the results of scalpers today, first hand. [CLOSED]

I was at Shopko, and looked in their "Giants" section for the ones I'm waiting for, Spyro and Cynder. (Didn't find them.)

They had about 6 racks full of Giants, including Crusher.

Half-hour later, I check back and all the Crushers were gone.
As were all the "light-core" figures.

Saw them last year, in person on one occasion, a woman who cussed me out.

Thanks to scalpers, took me 2 months to find a Cynder.

As to Spyro S2, I was just guessing if he was on the shelfs or not.

Thanks to scalpers, I have one GITD Zap. If scalpers weren't there, I'd have 4 GITD's (Zap x2, Wrecking Ball, Warnado).

That's not scalpers, it's after Christmas. All the little kiddies have the game now and ladies come in with 5 kids who are like, 6 years old, while the kids grab all the Skylanders they can find and pile them into their carts... Sigh...

Swarm is the best Giant so far anyways *sips tea*

In saying that, Hot Head really is the most difficult to find...which is odd because his design is SO unimaginative and boring.

They are people who will by skylanders and put them on ebay (referred as evilbay sometimes) for insane amount of money. Well, maybe not insane, but they put them up for a lot more than regular price. When Hot Head first came out he was going for over 40 bucks. You see it a lot of times with variants.

Unfortunately this is common with the franchise and isn't bound to go away anytime soon I'm afraid. I've yet to see any scalping in person myself, but I know it does happen from time to time. Theres really nothing you can do about it either.

Besides (No offense or anything)- But why did it matter to you anyways? Its apparent you weren't after said figures since you were there beforehand and left, obviously you didn't need them, if so you should have grabbed them when they were readily available to you. So why does it really matter to you? Just wondering. No offense meant by this I'm just curious.

I think of the other people like myself, looking for a particular character, but they can't find it because of the scalpers.
How many kids couldn't get Crusher due to one or more scalpers grabbing all of them that day?

But I've seen this is all backfiring on the scalpers.
One guy is selling a S2 Cynder on eBay for $1.32.

Granite Crushers are $25, but no one has bid on them.
