...No. Just... No. This is the kind of situation where the phrase "pics or it didn't happen" are true. Besides, who would actually buy a broken figure, just because it's not out yet?
*sees it has 2 bids* ...Seriously? |

The sellers not very straight forward about its origin either. All he would tell me is that it has a chip and it is not repairable making this for collections only.

The picture is something we've never seen before, looks real to me.

Singapore/Hong Kong gets a lot of factory rejected toys, and some are even stolen from the factories. This is likely a rejected/error one that he is selling. Surprised, he doesn't have more, or that there isn't more on Ebay.
There are toy shops in Singapore with new figures, but no packaging that come from the factories. |

I really think it wouldn't have been that hard to take a pic. In fact, it would have raised the overall value of the entire auction considerably, as eBay essentially operates on a "pics or I don't bid" policy for stuff like this. So, there's no logical reason for the seller not to take one of the actual figure. Then again, the seller's feedback speaks for itself.

It's a photo of the figure, but it could've been pulled from anywhere. There's nothing to differentiate this from any other stock image that a person can Google search and use except for a slight lapse in quality, which could be caused by a wide variety of factors. There's no photo of the figure sitting in the real world, in a setting where one can tell that it is the genuine article and not some sort of production or promotional image.

That image is definitely Ninjini stock art. We know this because it's the exact same one that other companies are using.
EDIT:hmm..alright, it doesn't match up exactly. But it still looks like a stock image. I sent them a kind message asking if they could take some more pics of it from the back or the side. We'll see if they either come back with a nasty response (Oh yes, How dare I ask for more images of an item that I'd be paying almost $15 for..) meaning it's probably not a legit auction or if they actually DO provide some more pics which would indicate that yes, this is an actual Ninjini.

I'll jump in and say these are appearing on Taobao, but they're not working and useless. These aren't prototypes nor are they rare, they're just up there for people ancy to get their hands on one. Heck, Eye Brawl's up on there too.

This isn't really breaking news; finding a single pack of them or a variant is bigger.

According to the Ebay post, it's currently in Australia. I've never met or conversed with someone from Australia who's command of the English language was that horrible.
Also, It shouldn't take 20 - 30 days to ship ANYWHERE, much less 10 days within the supposed country of origin. Save your money people. There's something not right here.

China, Singapore and Asia are well known for selling knock offs. Not saying this one is, but I would be very leery of buying something from those countries.
Also, him selling all of those watches. I'm willing to bet that as it was either put before they are rejects or they are knock offs that he is selling. |

It's not uncommon for China/HK sellers to list their location as somewhere else (California, New York, etc) to appear more legitimate. Just like Taobao's, I'm aiming at factory rejects, not bootleg. At Taobao price, it wouldn't be bad for custom bait if you can rig your own lights. So yeah broken toys have their uses too.

They're factory rejects. Most likely they added extra coding to the chip so THEY don't get in trouble for selling unreleased figures that are working.

Until it's on the shelf, I've stopped believing any rumors of anything coming out.
I've been burned twice by seemingly reliable information (Black Friday & Dec. 23rd releases of new Giants) These reports of "Gamestop's getting Giants Jan. 1st or 9th" are ridiculous. As are "they have them and can't sell them". Unless things have changed, street-dated items are sent during the week before said street-date. Which means, most Gamestops won't get their Scorpion Striker packs until sometime around Thursday (3rd) - Saturday (5th) for release on the 9th. Only then will anyone know. And the figures are listed in the GS system as generic names such as "Skylander Giants Single" so there is no way the employees can know what they are getting until the box arrives and they open it. For reference, I worked for GS for 3 years and retail for 16 years total; about 6 of that in music & movies dealing with street-dated material. So I'm not just making this up. Also, it's amusing.

This amuses me as well. I see this kind of thing posted all the time. I'm not being rude, but how do you know she's your favorite? Yeah, she looks awesome, as does Thumpback, but I thought Prisim Break, Warnado, and Camo were going to be awesome in S:SA. I ended up liking completely different characters once I started playing. PB was far too slow for me, and Camo...well, he poops fruit (as my daughter says). So my question is, what makes her your "favorite character yet"?
