I think it would be cool if characters had duel elements. Like Spryo being Magic/Fire, or maybe like Mecha-Hex who is Undead/Tech.

The idea of Delta Pokemon comes into play with Skylanders, and something the series could potentially benefit from rather than endless reposes and "Series X" figures.
Imagine if you will, a Fire elemental Prism Break. Gold-ish colored rock and red colored crystals. With the "Delta" Skylanders, you could also give another bonus- They can open gates of the delta'd element. (ie, Fire Prism Break would be able to open both Earth AND Fire gates, while also benefiting from the zones of those elements too) That way, you're also not doing a specific "You need a Skylander of the Delta Fire element" (which would kind of force people to get a specific figure, which isn't nice). Alternatively, they could have "Delta" gates (in which any character of a delta element could open), which would be the new "thing" for the next game.

I actually mentioned an idea a friend and I thought of the other day. We were talking about the Spell Punks. We thought it would be cool if they made a Spell Punk Skylander for every element. They could look just like they do ingame. I think they look awesome, and to be able to play as them would be awesome.
Then again, the next game could be called "Skylanders: Villains" where you could buy figures like KAOS, Glumshanks, and each element for the Villains roster included a Spell Punk. That, or make a Skylanders game where the villains have to team up with the Skylanders, after they're banished to Earth by an even deadlier force in Skylands.

Shut up and take my money. Spell punks would be cool but I think they should play around with each a bit. Not just standard look. Off the top, undead one has his hood down and he's a skeleton. Little differences like that.

Since the first game, I have wanted an All-Element figure that unlocks everything. That way, people who don't want to buy extra characters can just get the one and experience everything the game has to offer.

That reminds me of when I started getting into Pokémon competitively years ago when the Delta Species set was still legal. I bought my first couple Delta Species booster packs and pulled a holographic fire-type Seadra. I was like, "Fire Seadra?! What the?! Why?! What's going on here?! Why is he...what the?! How is this possible?!" I was freakin' out, LOL. But yeah, Delta Skylanders probably won't exist until Skylanders 6.

My sister wanted to get the games for her kids but didn't want to go shelling out the money for all the S1 AND S2 figures. And lets face it, if dual-element figures are created, theoretically, you cut the need for figures in half. Currently, to play the full game (and I'm talking about S:SA since I have just started playing Giants) and unlock all hats, you need AT LEAST one of each element. Going by the ARP of $9.99 a figure, you need to spend an additional $50 to open up all the paths. That's the equivalent of charging $120 for a game. Not to mention the $20 expansion packs totaling up to another $80. A grand total of $200 to experience all the levels that are already packed ON THE DISC and only available through additional transactions. Now, my point to all this is that the first game has only been available for just over a year and the figures are now becoming difficult to find. I haven't seen very many of the expansions in the past 3 or 4 months. How would you feel if you were told that something like, say, Skyrim was only 60% available to you if you bought it today for the full retail price and no matter what you did in the game? There are portions of S:SA that some children will never see because they don't have the access to the older expansions. Now for just a moment, think about the Game Shark or Pro Action Replay. These third-party devices allowed kids to unlock what was already in the game using basic hacks. What I'm proposing is a figure that can do essentially the same thing but with the RFID chip. My kids have these toys called "Lite-Sprites". They were popular for about 3 minutes during the 2011 Christmas season. They change color using a wand that you can purchase separately or use a little button on the back of the figure. Lite-Sprites: Now, here's where it gets fun... Take the technology of the Lite-Sprite and mix it with the Skylanders and you would have an all-purpose figure that could go to any level and unlock all the extra paths along the way. With a push of the button, you could change your elemental properties. And it could be made to look like a generic version of some of the series' staple races. Like an elf, for example. Or dragon. This could be the opportunity for Activision/TFB to create the Chinese Dragon that everyone has been begging for. (Unless of course it's something they're doing for S3.) Make 4 different ones, charge about $30 - $40 for each figure with new technology, and done. It opens up the game to an audience that doesn't care about collecting all the figures or may have been hesitant to get into the game because of the perceived commitment of purchasing more figures. And lets face it, it won't hurt the sales of the figures at this point. Collectors would buy the figures AND an "Ultimate" figure. Kids will still buy the figures they want, and parents who can't afford everything will have an option. "Defeat the purpose"? In some people's eyes, maybe. And if it had been designed for the very first game, yes. But at this point, Skylanders have been secured as a cash-cow, so something like that wouldn't hurt at all. You could almost consider an "ultimate" figure to be the action figure equivalent of a Game Of The Year edition. Oh, and if the Toys For Bob/Activision guys are reading this, I'll be available for contract negotiations if you find this idea to your liking and want to make me an offer...

Exactly! That was a Troll-like character if I'm not mistaken (but don't quote me on that). Hell, make 4...an Elf, a dragon, a troll, and some other non-element-specific creature. Collectors will buy them. Quote: ThePunchPopFizz

No. Just no. It's a great idea but if they did that and you played as Kaos, and the next game had Kaos then you'd fight Kaos with Kaos. Now wouldn't that just be chaotic. (pun intended) Good idea, but if they did that it just wouldn't make sense. EDIT: I changed my mind. I want to play as a quadruple-elemental Hydra. |

I'd be perfectly fine with dual-element Skylanders, and Dual-Gates (Possibly ones that can only be opened by a dual-Skylander or two co-op players of the respective elements)
Unfortunately, there are roughly 28 elemental combinations possible in Skylanders...
