What game do you think is best: Skylanders: Giants on 3DS or Battlegrounds on iPad.

I have both consoles but I dont know which one should I buy this christmas.

Does anybody own both of them? Any recommendations?

In my personal opinion, I liked the 3ds version much better. More because it had more of a story and I didn't really like the whole battle style scheme that was in battlegrounds. So basically I suggest the 3ds version.

Yes, 3ds is way better than ios.

I have an issue with Battlegrounds: The app has been on sale numerous times the past month for $2.99-4.99

So, they want you to pay $50, for basically.... Royal Double Trouble, which is only S: SA Double Trouble, and he is picked up as such by the games, no "Special" tag, no Giants stats, nothing.

So, yeah the 3DS version. At least you get the red Pop Fizz, and it's a bit of a different game than the console version.

The 50 is also for the other figs if you don't have them and the portal too. Also RDT is a series 2 double trouble. Has a wow pow and path switching and an orange base.

I recommend the Battlegrounds just for RDT, his clones look awesome!

3DS Giants definitely. I don't enjoy the play style of Battlegrounds at all. I hate having to drag the character everywhere.

I'm going for 3DS.

You're mostly buying RDT and the Bluetooth portal with Battlegrounds. As games go, it's just an app, and 3DS is a full-fledged and surprisingly fun stand-alone title. It also comes with a variant of equivalent value more or less, in Punch Fizz. So definitely 3DS.

Battlegrounds, hands down

3ds is definetly better and punchy beats royal everyday. Battlegrounds is still a lot of fun tho. Also they are going to keep updating it with more levels so it'll help extend your play into the summer time.

Well punch pop fizz beats RDT because RDT is a series two figures with series one stats starting out.

I own both Giants on the 3DS and Battlegrounds but I traded in my 3DS on the first day of Wave 2 so I could pick up all the figures at GameStop, and I just got a tablet for Christmas but Battlegrounds only works on the iPad / iPod Touch, LOL. I have Spyro's Adventure on the 3DS and that game was ten times more amazing than the console versions so I'd definitely say Giants for the 3DS.

Actually, all counter part colors have higher stats.

I think that the 3ds is prolly better. Battlegrounds gets a little boring.

Yeah, trust me I will get it fixed when someone I know can help me fix it, I am the one that put the stats up. lol

Except RDT. I've literally swapped the two (S2 and RDT) on the portal immediately after one another and confirmed it. He's colored, and yes, he looks cooler, but his stats are exactly the same, unlike the other color variants we've seen.
