I'm sitting in my car in front of TRU, made the employees, open a box (marked wave 3) in front of me. No new giants, just re releases of older figures either in lc or non lc.

Hold on, Giants are in their own boxes, they aren't with all the other characters. Plus, that might have been an early release box.

Isn't the new single Cynder the same one we all got in the starter packs for Giants, or am I missing something here?

Nope. You're spot-on. It's just for those people who got the Owners Pack and have reconsidered Cynder as being worth the $10 after all. Given how fast they're flying off the shelves (Seriously! More than some of the actual new re-poses!) I guess that is a market that needed some catering after all. Color me surprised, but it's true; those Cynders aren't holding up at all.

Friday, (the 21st) we got LC Shroomboom. Then we went again yesterday, (the 22nd) and got Euptor, Stealth Elf, and Prism Break. (All of them not LC or Legendary). This morning at midnight we went to Toys R Us and they told us we had to wait until 6 to get the characters . At around 9:00 we called and they held a Lightning Rod for us. Wave 4 COMPLETE.

What was strange though was that when we called the employee at TRU, he was going through all of the characters that came out in the waves and he said he saw ONE Eye-Brawl in Wave 2... Oh gosh I hope he is wrong.

I have a feeling he was wrong. No offense to any TRU employees or anyone who is working to make a living sometimes they hear things or think they see things and it is incorrect.

I was able to get them all on Friday morning. The roads were crap as we just got thru a blizzard but it was worth it. Lightning Rod is pretty awesome. I didn't like his repose from his picture on the poster, but it has grown on me. His WowPow is pretty sweet also.

I agree. I don't think it is possible that he could have seen ... The fact that he though the Repose of was some "SUPER RARE" limited time exclusive thing kind of proves my reason... Lol.

My local Toys 'R' Us ad, stated "wave 3 is here! 8 to choose from". Has anyone else noticed this??? I've been in bed, sick all day. I've been scouring the forum trying to make sure I didn't miss out on anything "new". We aren't wasting money on the reposes (yet), just after Giants and new characters/lightcores/variants. I would love nothing more than to have something "special" for my 7 year old on Christmas morning. I've only got gitd fright rider, gold flameslinger, and lc shroomboom.

The only that that we were able to think of why it says eight is if they are including Zap and Hot Dog. Those from everyone has seen or has not seen, is not out yet. However, they maybe included in Wave 3.

And for further clarification: I went with my brother for some Christmas shopping tonight, ToysRUs had their shipment boxes outside the stockroom door, we helped ourselves, seeing as it was a madhouse anyways: NO Thumpback, no Scorpion Striker BP, no Hot Dog.

We found plenty of: S2 Eruptor, S2 Prism break, S2 Cynder (I guess for the portal owners pack people.....). Of a TON of those, there were only 4 LC Shroom Boom.

I don't know, I mean... we may get the shipments and have to hold them... I have no idea, we don't get any inside details. I do know, for a fact, as of yesterday morning, NO Gamestops have gotten shipments of new Skylanders. Unless a manager isn't recording a fluke early shipment... which I don't think someone would risk a career for a box of toys, but who knows?

Sure, if/when we get them I'll post a pic, provided I am working there that day. I'm a software developer, I work at Gamestop part time, mostly for the discount, and I used to be a full time assistant maneger there, now I just help out as needed when a manager is out for some reason. But yeah, if I get the opportunity I will post something, should have a pic sometime by the 1st or so...

That'd be great. I think I speak for all of us when I say it'd be much appreciated.

Curious - am I the only one who noticed the packaging change in the LightCores? Aside from the sticker added to the "Wave 3" shipments, the shiny foil on the front of the packaging has changed. This would mean there are four different versions of some of the LightCores (Flat foil with catchphrase, flat foil no catchphrase, prism'd foil and Target 3-pack).

I thought we already saw that by LC shroomboom. But I could have it wrong..

15%, but not on game systems. Accessories and games yes, systems no discount. It's pretty good when you have the Power Upo membership, and the Employee discount, and you get used stuff. 25% total, which is better than most places anywhere, and if you get promoted past GA (starting position) you get free Power Up membership soooo.....

i went in at 6 and got to get the first pick and then after i grabbed the three i wanted there were like 3 parents behind me like "ARE THOSE THE NEW ONES" one tried to grab s2 Lightning rod out of my hands i was like "are you good" but long story short i got s2 Lighting rod (obviously) s2 eruptor and s2 prism break there were only 2 boxes and the one guy who seems to know what hes talking about at the counted said that the rest of wave 3 would be released mid january but i went to game stop and the guy there said every wear wave 3 would be release in febuary so its probally diffrent between stores

Toys R Us has wave3 in stock on their site. Tday they started a buy 1 get 1 40% off....works on-line too.

Got e kids the LC Shroom just before Christmas and this gets us all caught-up. Sweet!

I barely got Eruptor today. There was a huge mob of parents wanting to get him, but I made it to Check Out first. He was the only one they had in Wave 3.

I know I have had lots of questions, so when I asked her on the 24th to see Thumpy , she went and told me what she did, and boy did my heart sink. Her manager did not actually see Thumpback, but said he was coming soon, in fact, that day they were going to order shipments of him, so he is going to be in wave 4, but I am telling the truth, and I am SO SORRY that I mislead everyone. I only misunderstood what my sister said. Please don't call me a troll...

Thank you Tashiji. As I said, her manager said they were going to order shipments of that figure. And don't think I mean Gill Grunt, he was a GIANT shark guy, not just a shark guy!

Just for fun, I popped into Target today to see if they had anything. Nothing new per se, but they had about 5 LC Jet-Vacs and LC Eruptors on the pegs with the brand new "Lights Up!" sticker on them.

Seems like an indicator that Target probably has some Wave 3 stuff in (or at least, the new boxes are *somewhere* in inventory) so I guess the stores should start to be getting them all over.
