Some people may be disappointed with wave 3 as it is largely series 2 guys, I'm not disappointed at all, hot dog is coming out soon and one of my fav series 2 guys was released, prism break, the thing that I am disappointed with I that there's no giants, I was really hoping for thumpback

I'm not really disappointed because I'm always excited for new Skylanders, although I'll say that this is the least-excited I've ever been for a Wave release due to the fact that it mostly consists of old figures such as Stealth Elf (Series 2) when the Legendary Stealth Elf (S2) had already came out earlier, Cynder (S2) when I have a bunch of them already, including the Glow-In-the-Dark variant, and also Prism Break and Eruptor (S2) when we already have the LightCore re-poses. I've been looking forward to newer stuff, know what I mean?

I ha fun with the speculating and news and such here. I honestly don't care what comes out when tho. I'll get em all before 3 is released so im good. A giant woulda been nice but I doubt it'll be long before we get a new one. Just gotta decide if I want to use gift cards for s2 (only have cynder and chop) or if I wanna save em for when new giants do hit. I'll probly end up blowin em on s2 but since I want everyone anyway it's really not a big deal.

You know, I actually liked Wave 3. I'm a fan of Prism Break, and I really like his Series 2 figure. I like the way the Series 2 models are based on their upgraded form in the game - and Prism Break has crystal armor all down his back. I also really like Lightning Rod in general, and Stealth Elf is cool too. Shroomboom's Lightcore also turned out pretty cool - better than I expected. Sure we didn't get giants (at least yet), but it leaves at least something cool to look forward to next year with my sons. Part of the fun of Skylanders is finding new stuff.

I'm also not disappointed at all. They gave us some of the more sought-after S2 guys, the second Battle Pack is virtually upon us, and they showed some consideration to purchasers of the Portal Owner Pack by releasing Cynder, as well as the crowd who has no TRU by releasing Stealth Elf. The only TRUE older characters are Pop Fizz, and the ever-scarce Flashwing, the latter of which needs more distribution anyway.

EDIT: Plus, I'm not going to say I expect one, but let's not rule out a Giant coming out around the time of the Battle Pack either. This whole wave is asynchronous after all.

I'm a little dissapointed that they didn't put out any giants in this wave. However, what irks me the most is reading things like TRU facebook page and seeing all of the idiots post about how angry they are because Thumpback and Eyebrawl are supposed to be out in this wave and TRU lied and blah blah blah and I can't post a response because TRU blocked me, lol.

And we'll see it all over again in nine days when Hot Dog isn't available at Gamestop.

The end result of that will be some poor web designer will get fired for designing the advertisement that displayed the incorrect 1/1/13 release date - even though that designer was following the orders of his supervisor (who was somehow clueless about how often the first of the month is a placeholder date). That way Gamestop has taken "corrective action" against the person who "caused" the miscommunication and can't be blamed for it.

Same old song and dance.

I wanted Wrecking Ball or Spyro. TO my knowledge, those two and Drobot are the last Series 2. Instead of Cynder and Stealth Elf, we could have gotten WB and Drobot.

I believe they consider the Hot Dog battle pack to be an equivalent release to a new Giant. He and Flashwing are the two most popular S2 characters, and we only ever get two Battle Packs to begin with, so this really should be enough. The problem is, they didn't release it in time for Christmas, even though some GameStops already have the product--that's my disappointment here.

Another thread said that Gamestop would have a new Battle Pack in tomorrow. Take that with a grain of salt, but I'll be stopping by there tomorrow. It can't hurt to check.

I preordered mine form gamestop.com, so I don't have to rush out to a store and grab one, just sit back and wait for the mailman

I'm shocked they went with LC shroomboom and not LC Pop Fizz, particularly because magic still has most of it's figures unreleased while after the battle pack Fire, Earth, Life, and Air will be all done. I feel there should be better distribution of the elements.

In SA, It made sense for Wham-Shell to be last with Grunt in the original pack, but why would you release half of the life and air guys after Christmas while all Earth and Tech were out before Christmas. They need to adjust their schedule just a bit to improve element variety on initial release.

I think the reason they went with Cynder in this one was for people who didn't buy the starter pack. They have not had a chance to get him yet while other people have.

So disappointed for no thupmback/Hot dog

I forgot about thumpback, so I guess I am disappointed with wave 3 now he's my most wanted giant

I may have been a tad disappointed but not too badly. We're getting new characters the beginning of next year. And some of my fave S2's are out now so I'm good
