is there already wave 3 skylanders at TRS? is it only at TRS or is wave 3 at other stores too?

I found a set at Best Buy yesterday, after I bought the set at TRU.

"Wave 3" is out at TRU. It includes Lightcore Shroomboom, S2 Eruptor, Prism Break, Lightning Rod, Cynder and Stealth Elf. I have seen some pics of Best Buy having Lightning Rod and Eruptor.

By TRS do you mean TRU (Toys R Us)?

All 4 new release at TRU. S2 Prism Break, S2 Stealth Elf, S2 Lightning Rod and S2 Euruptor for 10.49 each. They bumpt the price to 10.99 but gave a .55 off for each figure. My wife got the email last night and I took it with me this morning on my way to work. They had 6 figures at the Service desk that represented the email. 3 were already release, one was Cynder (Did not get her because I got it with the starter kit) the other 2 were S2 Prism Break and S2 Stealth Elf. I asked about the other 2 (S2 Lightning Rod and S2 Euruptor) and after getting the Assistant manager involved he went to the back, he brought out another box that had 6 characters (4 w2 characters and Lightning Rod and Euruptor). After buying the 4 new release I drove to Best Buy and low-and -behold they had one each of the 4 new release at 9.99 each. I debated weither to buy them and return TRU's but by the time I spent for gas, the $2 savings is no savings at all. Off to work...
P.S. Got my LC Shroomboom yesterday at TRU for $9.99. They only had 3, today they still had 1 left.

Saw S2 Prism Break at Best Buy today... he was only one... this release really sucks... I just want the new guys... I dont really care for "remakes" of same characters. Now if they all had new powers or attacks... sure that would be great.. but one more "wow" pow is not worth recollecting 30+ characters at 10 a pop. I will get a few of my favorites... 2 or 3 and thats it. Just new guys is what we want... A really poor decision by activision or TFB in not releaseing at least 1 before Christmas...... oh well... wait till the 1st for Hotdog....

Yeah, Vort, I can see where you're coming from. After they release Series 2 versions of the remaining Series 1, I won't be getting anymore Series 2, unless it's just to hang on my wall.

I want Skylanders to be a series about giving people nothing but new characters per game, ala Pokemon. I don't need to have 3 Hex's over the course of 2 games.

My personal hope, is that they only did Series 2 of Series 1 characters, so they could "futureproof" them. In other words, perhaps they didn't know if this game was going to take off, so they didn't program the first Skylanders to take advantage of future games outside of leveling.

I am hoping all Skylanders, starting with Giants, are made so they can receive new upgrades in future games, without the need of buying a new figure.

Now that would be great... although I find it hard to believe that they didnt realize they had a gem on there hands after the first game.... I cant remember the last time I camped outside of a TRU for hours just to get a toy/game... not to mention the amount of times I did it.... and that was all over the world/country.... they know what they have and the league of followers.... But yes, it would be wise to make future games be able to level/upgrade/new attacks/powers with future series 2 characters.... if they did that, then I would def get them all... but there is no indication that this is/will happen... so if they are trying to make this a milking cash cow, then it will fail. Can you imagine each game series 3 then series 4 etc.... I dont care how great the game is... that is just overkill....

I think if that were Activision's goal, they would have made all the new figures have switchable paths as well.
