No offence I don't care for , but I even feel your pain Skybagel. I mean we're being teased with these unreleased figures on commercials and so forth then we don't get a Giant in wave 3 and now they Push him another 8 days later. Just stop it Activision just let him and the other giants go to stores especially . Those guys are so stalling the last guys and it is annoying me.

This might not be Activisions choice. It could be for some dumb unknown reason Gamestops choice.

People actually thought January 1st wasn't a placeholder date? I knew not to expect at that day. It's New Year's for goodness sake.

To be fair, Activision is not going to make everyone 100% happy. I am not trying to start this discussion again but, I'll post a few points.

1. If they released all figures at once as some people want. That is over 1200 US dollars. I for one do not have that to slap down at once. I'm going to assume that most people don't either.

2. I get the point that people get upset when they see thumpy and hot dog in commercials. However, most people are not excited about S2 Drobot. They are excited about the actual Giants and the figures that have not been released before. That is why they are in commercials to drive up excitement.

3. We have to remember that TFB, Acti, TRU, and GameStop are all business. As bad as it may sound, and as bad as a rap they can get sometimes, they are in business to make money. Not to make 100% happy all the time.

People tend to look at things just from what they want. As always we have two or three sides to everything. No one will ever be 100% happy. Look at it this way, we have 5 of the 8 giants released in the US. Over half of the other figures. I'll bet that when June/July rolls around and nothing is coming out, people who want them all released now will be complaining that nothing is out and how they are losing interest in the game because nothing new is out.

sucks for me ill be stuck at the rifle range for a week starting the 7th. luckily mine is already preordered and paid for so I can pick it up when im done.

Activision sure is cutting it close. I have this small window of time between Christmas and my birthday to buy things, and January 9 is towards he end of my shopping window. Le sigh....

um, actually it was a strict street date placed by Activision according to my local Gamestop manager when asked if they got the pre-orders in early (like some people here reported their stores had) would they give them out early.

ps. Gamestop plans to be open on New Year's day.

Keep in mind Ziggy that your Gamestop manager may have some incorrect info. I am not saying he does/did it just maybe he heard wrong or was misinformed. Also, they would have to get them early. Atleast on 12/31 as UPS and all of that stuff do not deliver on those days.

I would trust the Gamestop manager more than a TRU employee, however sometimes people get bad info.

Either way Jan 1st and Jan 9th are both weird dates. One is a holiday the other is a Wednesday.

He could have been wrong, but I would think the manager of the store would have an idea about these things. Also, my store is pretty up front about it when they have no clue as to when something is going to come in or be released, or placeholder dates, etc. He stated that they would be getting them in before the 1st so they would have them on hand, but some stores I guess (according to I think it was StarNinjini, I could be wrong, but a poster here) already had gotten them in like last week or so. All I can say is I hope it hasn't really been changed because New Years makes it so much easier for me since I will be off work, versus a day in the middle of the week when I might not be able to pick it up right away.

You can reserve them. That is what I do. That way it is their as I work before they open and will make sure to have them. It is posted on the gamestop website as being 1/9/13. However as I posted in another topic the gamestop site can be kinda should we say slow.
