I decided to apply. I already finished the application and submitted it. Honestly, I am nervous, and I doubt I'll actually become a mod. There are users who would be better at it than me.

I really don't think I'm going to try out, so I'll just wish everyone here good luck! And I want 2 things:

1. Whoever makes it should be a responsible person, and control the forums as dark52 would. (*cough*Aura24*cough*)

2. The people that do make it have to do something about LightSpyro13's trolling!

I have applied, with a focus on general spyro/skylanders/fandom and idle chat/gaming/roleplaying sections, where I feel I am strongest suited.

I am probably one of the most unbiased people here, and have had a considerable amount of past experience so I hope my newbie-ish-ness to the forums doesn't completely overcome those two facts ;;;

How come after reading all the comments, it feels like
people are treating it more like a contest then a duty?

I understand that he picks the best canidates, but reading all the "Good lucks",
it's like something on a football game, or before a boxing match or something.
And it's not like he is picking a name out of a bowl full of names,
he is going to make a decision out of the best people.

I imagine a large amount of mod applications being sent to dark52, from over 50 or 100 users.

But since you're the first to bring it up, maybe you feel that it is?

We say Good Luck since you can get nervous while answering these questions to the point that the answers might end up incorrect. Wishing Good Luck so they feel relaxed that people are wishing them Good Luck is the best thing to do now.

That's one possible interpretation of it. The other possible interpretation is that people are generally trying to be respectful toward the other applicants. Maybe you've never experienced it, but I've waited for interviews before where the previous interviewee would walk out and wish me good luck... even though it was an application process and not a competition. So I'll interpret it as courtesy and thank everyone for the their best wishes. <.<;

Whoever gets accepted has my blessing and I'll just continue to act respectfully as I do now (providing the person doesn't display an abuse of power or other gross misconduct). In the event I'm somehow chosen I'll still continue to post my usual shenanigans but I'll also be working to keep the forums a fun place to go. ^.^;

Applied to help Moderate the Skylanders Section. As I posted Earlier, Good Luck to everyone who has applied

If I do get chosen, I may moderate the Skylanders Section. I just want people to have a better time on the forums me. Hey, now that I think of it, the Sparx is better than the Hunter.

I've pretty much stopped posting anywhere but fandom and polls these days. I'm pretty well respected just because of frixion work but that also means I can't submit a mod application just from time and stress constraints. I would be pulling hair after hair out of my scalp once college break ends.

thats the main reason i'm not applying otherwise I would want to help the community become a better place.

I can't wait to find out which individuals do just that.
