Just found the S2 Lightning Rod on Amazon only 6 left 9.99 of course, through Amazon, however it shows a pic of S2 Cynder, that looks as if it is a 3rd party pic, but ordered it anyway as in this wave only the LightCore Shroom Boom and Lightning Rod are of immediate interest. I can pick up the others later, but just wanted to give you all a heads up and see if any of you had ordered before with the wrong pic and got the correct item. Talked to all my stores today including TRU and they say they have nothing for the 23rd that they have tons of the "little ones" no Giants of course, and as of this morning the have pushed all stock to the floor. Hopefully will find some of the others. I'll report back later when I return, if I find anything significant and yes I'll try to take pics. Wow, both the Lightning Rod and Stealth Elf I ordered already shipped and will be here tomorrow! Really hoping Prisim Break and Eruptor pop up and I won't even need to bother with Toys R Us come Sunday.

Sigh, been waiting most of the day for Prism Break and Eruptor to show up to qualify for Free Shipping. Lightning Rod is down to 20 left, so I added in the Strategy Guide to go over. I already wanted to get it for my son anyways, and their price is far better than stores, he loved the one for the first game - the stickers are fun too.

Yeah, they fixed the picture on it ... sorta. (It's now Lightning Rod, at least, but the box is on its side for some inexplicable reason.)

Not really THAT desperate to pick him up just to add his Heroic Challenge to Giants, so it'll keep until I find him locally. It's more fun to have something to search for in the stores, anyway. And since Target is having a Buy 2, Get 1 Free on ANYTHING Skylanders (you could even buy a console starter, 3DS starter and iOS starter for a combined total of $100 for all of them if you wanted), I'm hoping I'll be able to take advantage of that with the "new" figures.

Assuming, of course, Target even GETS Wave 3 before the new year.

At Target, yes. Not sure if it's a universal thing or just at my local store, but they took great pains to mark EVERYTHING Skylanders with it - the starters and the various display / carrying options, as well as the Giants, Lightcores, 3-Packs and loose figures.

(Target's website doesn't seem to mention it - the only Buy 2 Get 1 crossover is from the Wii U games.)

Since the starters for both Giants (console) and Giants (3DS) were dropped to $49.99 for this week, in theory you could get all three starters like I mentioned above ... and have more Cynders and Jet-Vacs than you'd know what to do with. (Assuming your local store also has the same promotion.)

snagged this yesterday on amazon. grabbed LA noire too for $17 so i could get free shipping. pretty psyched since lightning rod is my fav and i didn't have to go to the bowels of hell (tru) to snag it.

Ordered it yesterday from amazon and it came today. Even though the photo was wrong it was still Lightning Rod.

Get this... I live in Oklahoma City. I live 3 states to the east of Arizona. It shipped from Arizona yesterday. So, I thought, "Cool, it will definitely get here." I check my email this morning and it says mine might be delayed due to the weather. I thought then, "How can that be, if it's coming from the west, not the east?" I check the tracking number, and it went from Phoenix Arizona, to Kentucky.

Now, why in the world would a shipment bypass my state entirely?

Now, one of the tracking tidbits says "Adverse Weather Conditions," and now I won't get them until Monday, despite the fact I paid for next day. Should I complain about this? If I pay for next day, I should get it next day.

There's some fine print somewhere were things like adverse weather conditions just can't be helped. It'll still worth bringing it up if you paid for next day, in most cases, they'll refund the shipping cost. Even as a prime member, not everything can make it within the 2-day window for me, but I live on the west coast, surrounded by Amazon's distribution centers so weather isn't much of a problem lol.

I ordered mine today. Screw TRU with its price hike. The hike doesn't make much sense when Skylanders can be purchased cheaper at other stores. TRU thought it had the lock on wave 3 for Sunday, but other stores (Best Buy in particular) totally ruined its game and that's why it had to jump the gun on the 21st.

It's a definite step up from this time last year. Pretty much every pack on Amazon was only available through price-gouging 3rd party sellers. Good on them for keeping almost all their retailers stocked.

Hey GameMaster78 I also ordered from Amazon yesterday, and was supposed to get Lightning Rod today, I do live in South Florida, but mine is also delayed til Monday due to adverse Weather conditions in Ky as well. Although it arrived at my local UPS just a few miles away from where I am at Noon today they have changed my delivery to Monday which is ridiculous. I have Amazon Prime, so shipping wasn't an issue. However, I contacted Amazon just for an FYI to them about the problem and unexpectedly they gave me a 10.00 credit. I really didn't expect them to credit me anything, it was just for them to know about the situation. I would definitely contact them as they relay all this info to their shipping dept so they can improve shipping. I am also anxious to get Lightning Rod and also ordered Stealth Elf but she wasn't due until Monday anyway. Packages for Christmas eve I guess. Hope things go well for you. Hoping they put up the Lightcore ShroomBoom Prism Break and Eruptor soon. Really want the LC ShroomBoom and my TRU is so far away adn teh price hike also ridiculous. UPS and other shippers use hubs to make deliveries. Sometimes it does result in packages literally flying over your head hundreds of miles out of the way, then flying back. That's because your airport is an endpoint, so they consolidate all of the packages going to your area in one place then send them to there. It is a cost efficiency thing, but sometimes it does result in delays when the weather doesn't cooperate. You can't just say ok, we have 20 boxes headed to Oklahoma, send the plane!

In this case, they send a plane full of packages from Arizona addressed to all over the country to Kentucky, where other planes around the country also arrive, then they sort things headed to Oklahoma and send them out. Then tomorrow, that plane will take all of the new packages from there to Kentucky and the process begins anew.
