First post, yay!

I purchased a set of the new Series 2 at a local Best Buy earlier today. I can't confirm these are at every Best Buy yet, but at least we know they're at other locations other than Toys "R" Us.

And YES! I have a photo because I live in the 21st century and carry a device capable of taking a picture. Let me know if you have any questions!

These are going straight under the Christmas tree, so no gameplay impressions. From what I've read I thought this "Wave" was a TRU for now, so I was surprised to see them at Best Buy. I saw no new Giants and employees weren't even aware of the new figures.

Star, I maybe reading your post wrong... however, the official street date on lightning rod and regular prism break are not until 12/23. So those ARE wave 3? It appears that as with every wave we have a few employees and stores that see them and either put them out for sale or they buy them early.

How do we know that isnt the LC prism break, since he so conviently has them in the bag so you cant see the botm of the case.... serious... why are people hell bent on whipping people up over nothing..... If it was the series 2 regular.... why the hidden half pic... take one of the whole thing???? serious....

You can clearly see the S2 Prism break artwork in the box and Prism Break's hands are down if you look carefully at the toy, which is how his arms are in his S2 Pose, oh and Lightning Rod's S1 figure didn't have him holding his lightnings as this toy has, so its obviously his S2 pose.

... They have lightcore and s2 eruptor and prism break at like every store everywhere.

Probly not. I imagine these weren't supposed to be on the shelf yet. Since its the same sku for all skylanders the system wouldn't be able to stop it.

My TRU had a few boxes of wave 3 but told me they can't put them out until Sunday. Did buy 2 lc shroom booms though.

You, sir, may have saved me a bad trip to TRU on Sunday. Will check every Best Buy in the area in the morning. Thanks.

i was at toysrus last night with gamemaster78 and we looked inside the wave 3 stock that goes out on the 23rd and yes there was 1 stealth elf in the box

nope we arent family. i met him at toysrus when skylanders came out and they released dragons peak. i just got home from buying it and decided to go back and get the legendary trigger happy and he was in there.

Yeah there was a stealth elf and a cynder. My son already has a legendary Stealth Elf and Cynder so I passed on it and will just wait for the inevitable TRU BOGO sale.

The new Prism break looks pretty cool with his completely translucent arms~
I feel he's sculpted better than the LC and in a dark room the portal illuminates him pretty well ;;

As far as buying them - that's not hard. It's finding a place such as TC here that put them out ;; I learned my lesson with Legendary Stealth Elf to pay better attention to my box release dates though.

There is 1 normal stealth elf per box - I don't think they plan on her selling super well since anyone with S:SA probably has one or two and LSE has been out for a month now.

As I said before. Here's what happens:
Seasonal employee is told to fill up the skylanders. Said employee goes to the back and grabs box without noticing street date label. Regular employees don't notice they are different since its all s2. Sku is the same so it rings up and customer walks away with product.

Well, nothing at mine..

I picked up the same three figures at Best Buy today, and also saw a series 2 Stealth Elf, but passed on that since I got the legendary version. There appeared to only be one of each of the new figures there, so I got very lucky. I didn't make the trip to TRU for LC Shroomboom, but I am very happy to get 3 of the 4 characters from this wave that I want basically on day 1.

I only saw one of each as well.

Haven't had any luck with my Best Buys.

Same here, though my Best Buy did get healthy stock of Dragon's Peak and Pirate Seas

I saw the Eruptor and Prism Break at my BB, but no Lightning Rod. It may have sold out by the time I got there.

thanks for the info. I had to ask for them, they got the shipment in this morning and hadn't put them out yet. my store only got one box.
