Enough with the jokes, Mori. Not every post needs one. Just get to the point about Wave 3.

Here's as much as I know...
- He got an email from the Activision rep stating that the next batch was releasing 12/23 (23/12 for our UK friends)
- They only had 5 boxes
- He couldn't find the boxes they had received at that time
- He seemed sure that everything that hadn't been released was in this batch
- I was told to be at the store at 6AM Sunday morning.

My thoughts (for those who care):
I was not aware of the Hot Dog battle pack exclusivity until someone posted the ad from Gamestop. It doesn't show up on their website for me. Either way, there are several sites showing single Hot Dogs. Could this be how we'll see Molten Hot Dog? Will it be a store exclusive like Royal DT? (Cause I really don't want to go through chase variants again...)
I think there was some miscommunication in there somewhere and he just assumed EVERYTHING was being sent.
More stuff will have to be shipped because, lets face it, 5 boxes ain't gonna cut it.
If we don't see a Giant this wave, there are going to be some pissed off parents and kids. (And Ninjini fans.) That would not be good for Activision & TFB right before the holidays. There has to be at least ONE. They are the hottest item, so
Where are the Wave 3 triple packs? I can't fathom they would release a wave without at least one or two triple packs. Gamestop has place-holders for 9 separate triple packs. Do the math...

Oh, I forgot to mention that my buddy is going to snap a picture for me as soon as he gets his hands on the boxes. They have been extremely busy the past few days so he may or may not have been able to do so. Now I never said that this information was 100% accurate and that's why I'm trying to acquire pictures... but he did get me a Crystal Stealth Elf so I at least give the info the benefit of the doubt.

I've yet to see these e-mails from any Acti reps - and they outsource their reps,((that they send to TRUs)) to other companies, that they send to the store which means they know about as much about the release dates as any other employee.

To put that outsourcing into perspective - Nintendo Hires, Trains, and directly pays the reps they send out to stores. Your local Nintendo Rep is usually pretty awesome, upbeat and incredibly knowledgeable.
Your acti/Skylanders rep walks into a store and checks your displays...if they're not up they'll half-heatedly do it for you, which you then fix after they leave. They may or may not ask you about sales.

Obviously we're not getting everything as that would cut release time to nothing...and kill Kotick's dream of a year long cash-funnel.
Generally during this time of the year those "5 boxes" are locked in a different room then the rest of their stock to keep it away from prying hands.
Again, there have been no corporate instruction released as to when to put the Skylanders out. I've both said and demonstrated that they can be sold right now - they're just not supposed to be.

God do I agree on the lack of giants. I just can't imagine them not releasing any.
More stuff IS being shipped - I stated here and in other topics that they're not being shipped normally - they are direct shipments from Acti. TRU only receives these shipments M-F. This means no store has ANY idea how much they're going to have for Sunday until around 3pm Friday Afternoon.
