I just started playing the game and have a few questions:

What are arena challenges and how do you find them in the game? Are they part of the level? Like the chompie pit in level one? Is that an arena challenge?

How do you know what your character is supposed to do for a quest? When I look at the character's screen and click "quest" it just says "complete 2 more quests to advance to the next rank" but, it doesn't say WHAT I'm supposed to do or how I can get to the next rank. Where do I get this information?

Arena Challenges are unlocked after


The first one will be unlocked then, then you'll get one after beating Ch. 9 and Ch. 12. Basically, there's 7 challenges that you do, with the last one always being the hardest (you have 1 HP and have to survive the battle) After beating them, you'll unlock a Charm.

As Thumpterra said, when you look at the "Complete X more quests" screen, simply push A/A/X to go to the regular screen with the quests.

Brock joins you on Flynns Ship (ie, after Ch.3 Rumbletown)

There is also a quest for all characters to complete an arena zone without losing any HP. So you get the charm and a quest completed
