Skaliscin was on the beach for a long time. She hadn't chased after Chica and the creature she took; it was clearly injured(by humans, no doubt), and she feared that her presence would scare the living daylights our of it.
Speaking of daylights, she noticed that the sky gradually turned into a light pink, the orange sun blazing over the ocean. It took some willpower to make her move on; she was oddly fatigued. As the serpent slithered down the shoreline, she was thinking about how diurnal she was becoming. Sybil was quite the day person, but civets are night-lovers. Aren't they?
Again, another strange coincidence happened. Sybil was walking across the shore as well, just a few yards ahead of her. Skaliscin quickened her pace to catch up with the Malabar civet, and slowed when she was nearly next to her. The snake decided against speaking to her; she look...
