Very strange. So does this mean that they will no longer be PRODUCING figures from the first game? Once they are out, they are out for good? Oh man these things are going to skyrocket in value....

I somehow doubt they'll "skyrocket". Perhaps later on they'll sell for more, but not any time soon. Just this weekend, I had a friend buying up S1 figures for $5 a piece at TRU. They're just trying to get rid of them at this point and move the new figures.

It wasn't just that one...there were several tags. I just got one in the photo. Point is, they're phasing out S1 figures now. I was told TRU was going to be the only store carrying S1, but it looks like they don't even want them anymore.

They've been listed at TRU as a retired 3 pack for a while now. I actually ran into a problem with them a couple weeks ago. I had bought the 3 pack at TRU, then found a better price at Wal-Mart. I decided to recoup a bit of money by buying one at Wal-Mart and returning it at TRU with the receipt I still had. It turned out they couldn't accept it because the "retired" Camo 3 pack has a different SKU than the original 3 pack, even though they're the exact same item.

Kinda makes me wonder if it was an additional production run that was re-coded just to let TRU advertise it as something special. Though I'd have expected them to do a little something more with it if that were the case...

I want a picture of EVERY TAG in the skylander section!
I want a video interview with the store manager verifying the existence of said "tags".

FYI: Best Buy has a different SKU# assigned to them also. TRU will only accept returns bought from TRU and Best Buy will only accept returns from Best Buy. BUT Walmart will except any in return of a gift card. I know this from past purchases.

Can honestly say I am happy about this. It gives me time to build up more money for this stuff. Also, people don't generally give a spit about Series 2 around here, or Lightcore, so it makes it easier for me to get those figures come Sunday.

Uh gm, it has not at all been confirmed that we won't see at least one giant on Sunday. Starninjini is simply trolling.

So does anyone know if this is just a Toys R Us release or will they be available at Walmart and Target on the 23rd?.......if so will Walmart be putting out new Skylanders at Midnight on Saturday? I'd rather pay the Walmart and Target prices than the rip off inflated TRU prices!

We know Lightcore Shroomboom is, also someone ahs the S2 Eruptor and Prism Break in hand already, I thought I saw a picture that someone had Lightnin Rod also.

I would expect that we would see the regular stealth elf as well. As far as giants, from what I have seen, and I could have missed something. We have no concrete proof that a Giants is in this release.

My closest toys r us told me that they would be selling there wave 3 at 12am on the 23rd. he also told me that they dont have any lightcore for wave 3 yet.. I hope they get more shipments this week! would love to get my kid the shroomboom.

He is going to be getting the new game and every possible giants figure (except the stone and glitter variants). all at once on Christmas morning. spoiled bugger!! It would really bug me if one of his friends parents got it for them before I could find one.lol

According to a Facebook post from Jessica Dobbins who works at a TRU (not sure in which state) they were told today that the Lightcore (Including Shroom Boom) release is Thursday the 20th and the others are Sunday the 23rd. It would be cool to see at least the LightCore one early. Really hoping for the 3 Giants on Sunday though as them and Hot Dog are the most important characters left for me. just talked to the manager at gamestop he said he got an email from activision sayin that they were only doin 3 waves asked him if he could forward the email said its already been deleted dunno if its true but hes been reliable for me before he told me a week in advance what days ssa waves were comin out so i trust him

to me doesnt sound like what activision and tfb would do you would think they would stretch it out a lil more like they did for ssa but yall gotta remember we still have polar whirlwind jade flashwing molten hot dog scarlet ninjini legendary lc chill yet to be released so theyll still find a way to stretch it if they do release em all on the 23
