Are the Portals Universal? [CLOSED]

Do the Portals on Giants work on all console versions? They look the same and identical so I'm just wondering.

PS3 WII and PC work are all interchangeable. 3DS works on PS3 with a USB cable. Xbox works on Xbox and PC only and I haven't tried the Ipod one on my PS3 yet.

Lol Gameboy advance?? smilie i still have one of those, a pink one. But i dont think that skylanders are for that system.

Ipod one works on PS3 but only as wired so you will need to plug in a USB cable.

I tried connecting via Bluetooth it. The PS3 detects it but it asks for an access code and I tried the default codes and they wouldn't work.

Giants portals are all the same, and if you put a Giants 3DS portal into any of the major consoles through mini-USB, it will work too. S:SA portals are a different matter, but any clear-base portal should work on any console.

EDIT: Except maybe the BlueTooth one from Battlegrounds, although I suspect that one would work fine as well if it were plugged into a console. Someone will have to test... maybe me.

The Battlegrounds portal does work on consoles/PC. It's essentially a regular sized-3DS portal, but doesn't connect to PS3 via Bluetooth though.

^ Okay, so there you have it. Clear-base portals are truly universal, provided you have a decent mini-USB on-hand.

Otherwise, compatibility goes like this. Wireless G1 portals work cross-compatibly with PS3 and Wii. Wired G1 360 Portals are 360 only. G1 3DS portals will work on consoles if connected via USB, same as G2. All work on PC for Universe. It's really only the corded G1 360 portal that complicates things.
