Thought it'd be nice to round up the sales on Skylanders for the week, since there's probably a good number of parents lurking on the forums, and there's still some of you out there looking for deals for the holidays.

TRU: Toys R Us has Buy one get one 75% off on all SSA figures. Which are still $9.99...
Triple Packs and the Battle Pack are $19.99 each (this includes the Legendary 3 pack)
All of the Megabloks Construction sets are buy one get one 50% off which is pretty neat.
and finally, all regular Skylanders are 20% off. Now the text says "all" but then it says "Giants singles figures priced $14.99 ea." so..I don't know if it's JUST for Giants, or everything? Ehhh.

JCP: JC Penney's has the Skylanders returning to their regular price, so that sale is done. (or at least, that's what it seems. Crusher appears in their ad and it says $15..so...I guess everything is back to normal?) You can probably still get the Skylanders for a lot better than what other stores are selling them for if you have those buttons they're doing for the holidays. You can stack 2 $5 ones (possibly more?) or just one $10 one and get a giant for about $5 and some change.

Walmart: Walmart doesn't appear to be having any sales on figures this week, but they have the Megabloks sets featured in their ad. Skylanders Giants Ultimate Battle Arcade is $39.97 and the Giants Battle Pod is $9.97. Both are like..2 cents off what other stores should have though...

Target: Target doesn't have them featured this week either. Just on the front page, the full Starter Pack is $49.99 this week, which is nice if you're thinking of getting it for someone for Christmas.

K-Mart: K-mart has the full Starter Pack for $64.99 this week, and triple packs are $19.99. (I'd wager the battle pack should also be this price)

Best Buy: Best Buy doesn't have them in their ad this week at all.

Some fixes for the TRU sale.
Because of the Pricing Clause that 20% sale applies to actual Giants Figures none of the regular sized or light core giants figures qualify.

The buy 1 Get one 75% is kind of a Jipp since the figures were just under $5 Dollars for the last two days with a Coupon ((With Giants regular single figures being priced at $6 and not eligible for the Coupon))

Target now has Buy 2 get 1 free Deal on Skylanders (Dec 20-24). I was able to pick up Wave 1 figures even (so they must be coming back to stores). No Wave 3 or Giants or LC Shroomboom out.

Might be worth it to get an ad and take it to TRU Sunday to price/deal match.

but if you go into toysrus and buy a regular giant character just tell that wal-mart or target or gamestop has them for 9.99 and better price match them for that price even though toysrus raised the price.

They require proof.... Or should I say, they will require "Pics or it didn't happen."

They do not... at least they don't with me. I told them last night when getting Shroom, "Can you price match to other stores for me?" He said, "Which store?" I said, "Walmart, Best Buy, heck... Gamestop." He priced each LC Shroom at 11.99 for me.

If they require proof, load up walmart, bestbuy, whoever, on the net and show them.

I'm surprised they did that, given that LC Shroomboom was new and not in other stores at that time (technically). I thought about the price match thing last night. I guess it depends on how hard headed the employee doing it is, because if I am buying it at TRU, then it is either on sale or they are the only ones that have it in yet - especially with their new Skylander prices. The employees at my TRU are great, but their non-sale prices blow.

Just an FYI, not sure if it is region specific, but everything Skylanders Giants was buy 2 get 1 free today when I dropped by before work. They had labels on every peg. My Target is REALLY slow on getting things in and on the shelves though - so I never really look there for new stuff, it is a waste of time.

He's a Lightcore, thus he falls into the LC category. As long as they have Lightcores instock, they should price match due to the category he falls into alone.

I mean, if they wanted to pull that stunt, I'd just do this -

- Buy a LC Prism Break
- Have them price match it
- Take it back asap and say "I want to exhchange it for another one"
- Pick up LC Shroomboom
- More hassle for TRU employee, who could have just pirce matched a LC due to other stores selling their LC's for 11.99

That's my opinion, anyway.

Yes, I agree you can do that. But if the employee that is helping you is particularly grumpy or uncooperative, they can easily deny it by pointing out other stores don't have that one, then when you exchange it, they return your $11.99 and charge you $12.99 for the new one.

Honestly, I don't like reinforcing the upped prices either, but I'm not going to take the time to go through the process if they don't just match it. If the dollar is that important to me at that time (not to sound wasteful, because I am not), I'll just wait a few days and get it somewhere else when they get it in who charges the regular price or has it on sale. The only figures TRU can demand that price and leave you no other options are the Legendaries (or other variants they have exclusive, like Blue Bash). I got Shroomie there this morning, because I want it under the tree - but the reposes? Yeah, not feelin' the TRU prices on those.
