What is the difference in someone spending extra money to have a figure a week in advance and you spending the money to have multiple copies of the same game just different consoles? I see none.

All will be great for 2012 and Giants as long as manages to come out, buy I'm still blown away by this possibility. ALL 3 giants at the same time?! Great because gets out and no one will have to argue since everyone will make it before the year ends, but also an insane idea that will surely cause a war between everyone trying to get them in store.

Not only will it cause a war, it will cause people come May be bored because of no new figures to be out.

The game honestly doesn't have to last all the way to 3's release. Acti has other products they want to sell. I mean I was still playing ssa console/3ds til like July and I got it day 1. Since I'm getting the console version for Xmas it in theory will last me til 3 comes out anyway. I'm a hardcore skyro tho. Even if all hype is gone by may, the hype will undoubtedly return when 3 comes around. Just like it did this year. Also consider this, not everyone can just buy all the figures right away. With all the reposes and such ill be getting new figs clear thru may. I space em out so it doesn't hurt my wallet as bad. I imagine many will do the same. Plus there's a lot of people who are seeming to just get into this franchise. They may pick up ssa to tide them over. Perhaps have to include all of s1 in that wallet hurtin. Also just cause they're all "released" next Tuesday doesn't mean everyone will find em right away. Hot head has been out for a while and many people are still hunting him. Whamshell was hunted the entirety of the summer and into giants time. I think no matter what acti does the franchise will be just fine. I look forward to playing the hell out of giants on wii when I get it but I also am excited for an entire year of playing it. I'm 26 with a pain in the ass full time job. Life will take over after a few weeks of constant giants but I'll always be playing. Always looking at my toys. Always pvping against both wife and sister. Always keeping my islands going. Always checking for new levels in battlegrounds. Some may get bored but I honestly don't think they will be a majority.

Most people here are exactly that. It drives me nuts. I've said it before, what's the rush? I want a complete f'ing set but I don't need it yesterday. I want eye brawl yesterday tho lol. Otherwise I can take my time. Just thought of something else I plan to do to extend my skylander joys. Pick up extras and do repaints. Lc punchy. S2 royal dt. Zap and I listed em earlier. Plus extra legendaries. Cutomizing figs can make 3 seem like it came too soon lol

Thank you Zap. Reminding me of the first wave makes me feel better about arrival. That was the most encouraging words I've heard from someone in response to a worry of mine. I still hope the holidays won't make it hard for me to get him though.

I'm still skeptical after getting burned for Black Friday. When I see figures in hand, I'll believe it.
On the other hand, I do trust my friend. He was as shocked as I was that nothing came out for BF. He says the 23rd, I'm there the 23rd.
I'm a patient man, so I can hold out for the release, but if I get a picture or some other verifiable proof, I'll share right away.
In the meantime, hang in there guys and gals...they'll be here...eventually.

Pics will come as they can. Remember most places you could get in trouble if you take pics like this or even have your phone with you at work. Sure the rule usually doesn't stick anywhere, but still. If you don't believe them, then don't. We are 1 week from knowing for sure.

Unfortunately I didn't get on this bus till Giants and right about the time W2 released so S2s are my bread and butter atm ; ;

it's a waste of money just to buy a pre-order that says in hand for $60 when it's coming out next week.

Yeah I figured that was the one you were talking about. I don't think every lightcore box has it but that's all it says is "Lights Up" I know most of the lightcores on my shelves show that sticker.

These are being sent directly from Activision and my store only receives these shipments Monday Through Friday. Seeing as people are claiming they've gotten then already and being that my store is a Mediumish-Large store ((Read Large but old)) I will more than likely receive these Monday which means I can report back Tuesday Morning.

I just find this a difficult assumption to swallow. Why bother calling it a Wave. LSE was considered "Wave 2.5"
If anything maybe they'll Stagger Giants until a slightly later date but it's just doubtful that they wouldn't put out at least one.
Also it could be the Hothead fiasco all over again where stores only got a very limited stock of them at first which is why we're getting so little confirmation at this point.

Everyone thought wave 2 was TRU exclusive, but on the same day TRU first put out wave 2, people found wave 2 figures at their local Targets. Gamestops got their wave 2 stuff the Friday after TRU put their wave 2 stuff out.

I doubt it's TRU exclusive.

We've had people already reveal that GS has boxes.
TRU would be putting more effort into resetting their display but as they changed out their Seasonal section for Barbie a while back it's just that much more unlikely.

The boxes come packed in sets of twelve. Between every two is a sheet of tissue paper and between every other one is a small piece of cardboard.
You could literally play soccer with these boxes they even have an extra full length cardboard piece on top and bottom to keep anyone from cutting into the product with a knife when opening them. ((God! does that reassurance make is SUPER fast to open a stack of these))

It's like the guy to got to decide how to package these never stopped obsessing over that physics project where you have to protect an egg from impact.
