Gateway to Glimmer, because he always looks so angry, and it makes him look epic.
In Year of the Dragon, his eyebrows look like they sort of float there at some times, and it makes me laugh. Even in some of the cutscenes they float up even more smilie Maybe I prefer the third one then, since I laugh so much at it.

In Year of the Dragon, if you turn Spyro around facing the other way, you might be able to see his eyebrows floating slightly.

EDIT: Really, come to think of it, both designs are just as good, like users say, it's just the eyebrows that are the difference. I think they're more differences in the first Spyro design, I keep thinking that everytime I play Spyro 2, and 3, and then I go back to the first one, that Spyro does look smaller, and his wing pattern has a different design, and his face kind of looks "squashed" down a bit, lol.

I like Ripto's Rage because he looks angry and badass, but I also like Year of the Dragon because he looks so determined to get the gob done. Plus his floating eyebrows kind of reminds me of The Rock when he raises his eyebrows. God I miss old WWF/E. Anyway, I'm torn.
