I saw his name listed in the credits of the game, for voice actors.
Don't know who he did the voice of, though.

For those who don't know who he is, he did the original voice of Spyro The Dragon, and has done many more voices, most notably the little Taco Bell dog.

Yes, it's revealed he voiced Camo in the game. And resumed his role as Sparx.

I find it funny how not only did the original VA for Spyro voice a character in Skylanders, but the game also has the blessing of the people who worked on the first game.

Yet there's still butthurt "fans" of the old series who claim it "ruined" Spyro. All of my lols.

I'm pretty sure Tom Kenny voices something in the Skylanders series. I could have sworn I saw his name in the credits list.

The only thing that would get them to stop winging is if Insomniac went up and said themselves to start behaving and stop saying it ruined spyro and Ect, even then it would be just a likely chance.
Back to topic, I'm happy they got him to voice a dragon and sparx again in another spyro game.

This confirms not even the guys who worked on the first game liked TLOS, but liked a game that was more true to the series nature. My prayers have been answered.

Actually... there's a surprising amount of parallels with VA to older Spyro games...

Some examples:
-Andre Sogliuzzo (Camo & Voodood) was Sparx in A Hero's Tail
-Kevin Michael Richardson was Terrador & Gaul in the Legend games
-Tara Strong was Flame & Ember in A Hero's Tail

Of course, this is all off the IMDB. It also says George Takei voiced the Conquertron. Is that true? If that is... that's amazing. ^.^;

Yep, George Takei from Star Trek voiced the Conquertron, confirmed on several game sites that had interviews of Giants before imdb added their VA list.

Thumpback sounds a lot like Fred Tatasciore, who also voiced Warnado, Slam Bam, and Flavius. The voice actor also did some voiceovers in the recent Spyro games, like in Dawn of the Dragon, he voiced a cheetah character called Meadow, and voiced Bentley in AHT.

Not sure if anyone has already mentioned this, but André Sogliuzzo also voiced Voodood.

Jess Harnell voiced Spyro in "A Hero's Tail," he's better known as "Wakko Warner."

But I found Bobcat Goldthwait (I nearly wet myself laughing at him in "Police Academy,") voices "Pop Fizz," and Kevin Sorbo, who used to play "Hercules" voices "Crusher."

I saw the voice of Cassiopeia in Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time amongst the list. I also saw Robin Atkin Downes, who's Captain Slag (Ratchet & Clank) & Joseph Capelli (Resistance). I'm assuming he was one of the pirate characters in the game? <.< >.>

Zap is voiced by Jeff Bergman.

Spyro is voiced by Josh Keaton.

Is it just me, or does Tara Strong voice just as much males as she does females? (Timmy Turner, the original Ben 10, a bunch of little boys on Mad, and more)

There's a lot of instances where female voice actors do males, especially if the character is a kid. Tails from the Sonic universe has had female VAs for awhile. Bowser Junior's VA is female. I could make more examples, but I'm lazy.

The most obvious example of a female VA voicing a male character is Bart Simpson from The Simpsons.

Also, I'm fairly certain that Thumpback is voiced by a Toys For Bob staff member: Toys For Bob's CEO mentioned it in an interview I watched recently. He also said how said staff member ocasionally leaves people answerphone messages in Thumpback's voice!

You know what I was actually thinking now- I'm honestly surprised that no one has hunted down the VAs and got them to sign their figures (either on the figure's base or the package).

They do this all the time in other fandoms, video games AND figures.

Heck, next Comic Con, I'd bet that Tara Strong (Flashwing) and Yuri should both be there since they're on Ben 10 Omniverse together.

why does everyone care bout the voices? i dunt care about them. i like palying the game.

Because some of the voices you have heard a lot on television voiced the Skylanders in the game that give them their personality.

i watch MAYBE, 30 min of TV a month. probably less. the only time the TV is on is when my dad ond brothers are upsessed with watching sports. i know zilch about any shows on TV.

Josh Keaton's known for voicing Spiderman in the video games, also known to have voiced Youn Hercules in the Disney movie Hercules.

Every video game character has a voice, Thump. Whether they are making only grunting sounds, speaking plain english or both. Skylanders: Giants is no exception with having characters clearly speaking with words and making monster sounds. There's nothing wrong with posting a topic about the voices you, or others, recognize voicing the Skylanders and characters in the game.
