Can anything short circuit a skylander? [CLOSED]

What I mean is, can airport x ray scanners or solar flares and stuff like that destroy or short circuit the chip inside the base?

none of what you listed will harm the chip ... unless of course you are very close to the sun, but that is unlikely

Nope. Airport should be fine but if you carry like..your whole thing of Skylanders with you on the plane they'll probably investigate because TSA.

I'd wonder though- a powerful enough magnet might wreck the chip. I don't know if it really will though but it sounds like something it might be susceptible to.

Only thing that could break/shortcuit the skylander is touching the the super thing paper-chip inside, i t's REALLY sensible

I have taken my bag of 60 skylanders (now a little more) on planes 8 times before and hex has been working a little oddly, she isn't read by the portal as easily, it takes a while to play with her

Okayyy....
Anyways, about magnets, they can sometimes actually fix a skylander (they saved my sonic boom's life once), but I wouldn't recommend keeping them with/near strong magnets. But the other things shouldn't damage them unless it's a very close to them.

I bought my 3DS Spyro's Adventure in Ireland in my hand luggage and that survived Airport X-rays, so did all my loose Skylanders I bought in Ireland and Spain and carried back in hand luggage. I'm trying to think of any odd adventures I brought my figures on, but nothing pops to mind right now

Basically microwaving (which is unsafe!) or direct damage to the chip. There's lots of info about deactivating RFID chips thanks to paranoid people.

Not sure about solar flares.
