I can't be 100% sure when it came in since I hadn't been to Toys R Us since Thanksgiving (Nov. 22 for all the non-Americans), but tonight a friend/TRU employee handed me a Crystal Stealth Elf he'd set aside for me. So keep looking everyone...they're still out there.

Let's face it...to be considered legit on this site, I would have to get the employee, with crystal stealth elf in hand, to take a picture with me, shaking hands, in the video game department of the store, clearly labeled as TRU, holding a newspaper with today's date boldly printed on the front. Oh, and it can be taken with the absolute crappiest cellphone camera by my 3-year-old as long as it has everything listed above.

Why is it a "screen shot" from a hacked copy of the game depicting a picture of a "series 2" character that doesn't exist can get this site into a frenzy of rumors and hooplah, but the idea of finding something special and sharing the info is automatically a lie? No hope for the human race.

1/. I believe you - I found a Crystal not that long ago when I was SG Wave 1 hunting so it can happen.

2/. The proof context is that you have it, so a photo of one which is obviously not a stock image or someone else's photo would do. After that, the details on when/how you got it will be accepted.

People readily accept that I have found 7 variants in the wild myself even though my photos (now video) are of all the variants.

Pics or we don't believe in Santa, that you have an informant disguised as a TRU employee, or a 3 year old son who knows how to take crappy pics on a cellphone.

2. The proof that I have it, yes, but the point of my post was that they're still out there. THAT'S the part people won't believe.

Perhaps what we have found are a few that were in some warehouse mixed in amongst the regular Stealth Elves and other figures that have been waiting to be shipped when the stores' supplies run a bit low. I can't say how many times in the few months prior to the release of Giants that I went to TRU and found the exact same stock on the shelves week after week...like they weren't even rotating anything out.
Thinking back though, I was at a new TRU across town from where I normally shop last week and they had 2 dump bins full of S1 stealth elf, stump smash, conic boom, and cynder figures. I didn't even think to dig through all those to see if they could possibly have a variant or wham shell hidden away in there.

I would have taken a picture of the dump bins full of figures, but I had more on my mind at the time.

Hey, it may well be older stock but al throughout the history of SL variants, people have found variants from earlier waves when subsequent waves were out (albeit less frequently).

The moral of the story, general populace, is that you never know your luck in a bug city (so to speak, as I believe smaller stores have less competition to find them)!

Pics or it didn't happen isn't a rule of this site. It's a rule of the Internet. I'm sorry if this is your first real forum but you'll see it's a standard carried out thru the halls of interwebs information. If someone wants to believe you without proof then great. But I'm so tired of people critisising someone for asking for proof. Better to be skeptical than made a fool.

But in all seriousness...anything can be photoshopped. So really, what does it matter if I have a picture or not? "Pics or it didn't happen" is NOT what this was all about in the first place. If you don't want to believe there are still S1 variants out there, doesn't bother me a bit. If someone (not saying you or anyone in particular) wants to be a jerk about it, I'm not going to lose sleep. Take whatever information you will and do what you want with it.

Hey, I believed it from the first post. Mostly cause its about the kind of variant I don't care for so it means nothing to me lol. Wasn't tryin to hate on orig poster. Just tired of the hate on the pic rule. I do agree it kinda doesn't apply here.
