We can 100% confirm it now. Gamestop posted the stock art image and it is indeed Hot Dog and S2 Zap in there.

I think its cool that hot dog gets his own battle pack!

Does anyone think this will have a silver version like the cannon?

A look at the Universe lineup and S:G coding shows no in game variants for the Scorpion Striker like there is for the Dragonfire Cannon.

Hot Dog will be a single pack also... I have him on pre-order through TRU online (the link was only active for part of one day back in Oct, but all non-giant figures that would be released were on there)... I'm thinking I'll keep the single pack sealed and exchange it on Molten Hot Dog when he comes out (if he's not in some kind of starter/console pack like they've been doing this time)!! I'm wondering if this Battlepack is part of wave 2.5 like RDT or if this is some foreshadowing that wave 3 will be out in a couple weeks...??!! Time will tell!!!

Interesting combo for the battle pack. Though honestly I don't care as much for either of them. And is it true that Hot Dog lights 'doggy bags" on fire then throws it? that's just really wierd. However, I think Hot Dog would be fun to mess around with while playing 2 player with my nephew. But most likely I won't be able to get any battle packs til I can get a job

Ordered mine today at Gamestop. I asked if the guy if he knew when any of the new figures would be out and he said while they haven't been given exact dates, they were told before Xmas.

Gamestop won't carry Molten Hot Dog. At least not right away, and definitely not in the Scorpion Striker Battle Pack.

They had the Golden Dragonfire Cannon as a "marketing gimmick" to get people to buy that pack from their store. But they already HAVE their gimmick for this pack - 30 days of exclusive sales. What point would there be (financially) to offering the variant on top of that?

Molten Hot Dog sounds like something that will show up in Wal-Mart. Or maybe Target, they've only had one exclusive Giants figure (I think?) so they must be due another one at some point soon.

Preordered mine today. The guy had no idea.

What about Best Buy?? They haven't had any exclusives this time around yet...

Yeah, I doubt they're going to get anything though. I went to a BB and when the employee (yup with a name tag and earpiece) saw I was buying Whirlwind she told me to follow her and she brought me to the next aisle (to the S:SA megapacks) saying she'll sell me a megapack for 30$. And they had a LOT.

Then I asked her if this was a new shipment and she said "Nope, we have a lot we're just trying to get rid of stock". Yikes.

I pre-ordered Hot Dog from TRU also, so when the order finally ships, I'll just hold onto the unopened Hot Dog and either return or exchange him for Molten when that one comes out...!!

Don't know why but I find Hot Dog and Zap a weird combo. Maybe because it's Fire and Water? And I also think that Molten Hot Dog will be sold in another store, presumably TRU. At least the Magic Item doesn't have a coloured variant, because it was tricky for me to decide between the silver and golden Dragonfire Cannons(FYI, I got the gold one).

I was talking to my local gamestop, and the one guys who knows how obsessed i am mentioned that he is getting in a new battle pack on monday. well i know where i will be on monday before work even if its only to see it and maybe get a pic to share.

Makes sense they would push this pack until the ninth, however that is a Wednesday. That seems a bit odd as a release date.

So I got played by gamestop.... I went in and he said "oh no its tomorrow" and then tried to get me to reserve another game. not happy at all. Now he was only supposed to show me the pack since he can't sell it till jan. But he was lying to try and get me to buy other stuff.

He said that it is still slated for the 1/1/2013 date.

I wonder if you ordered it during the first week (Like myself) you will get it on 1/1/2013. They may have run out of stock and trying to catch up so they moved the date to 1/9/2013 for any new orders?

Someone posted that the gamestop they worked at go an email stating that the release had pushed back to 1/9/13. If I can find it I will post the link to it.

As of today, the release date is still 1/1/13. At least at my GameStop it is.

Sometimes Gamestops web page is incorrect. They have Hot Head for sale for 9.99. Or they have Lightcore Hex for sale, with a picture of Lightcore Jet-vac. I am going to say that it will be out on Jan 9th. If it is their on the first. Good Deal!

I want to believe that the smart ones that Pre-Ordered when it first came out will get it on the 1st. The others will get it on the 9th. There may have been a factory issue/problem that they could not produce them all for the 1st and figured that the 9th would give them enough time to catch up.

I pre-ordered mine early. I was just going to go up to the mall that I ordered it at on the first and ask them since there seems to be confusion.

^ Seems to be the best idea. I have to work on New Years hopefully I will get out early enough before the malls close.

Went to the mall this morning to spend my Gamestop gift card...........the pre-ordered packs have been pushed back to the 9th. At first the guy didn't think it had been but when he looked it up in the computer it showed it was

The worker at my Gamestop said the Battle Pack was the 9th for our store.

NOPE I went last night no Hot Dog. Any word

From various other threads, and the GameStop robo-call that went out yesterday, the current expected release date is tomorrow, 1/11. We'll see if that actually happens or not.

Watch them change the date a third time.
