Gonna be a timed exclusive to Gamestop (states) and GAME (Europe).

So some guy is official now? Okay.

I checked the gamestop website, it says it comes the 1st january.

That is a placeholder date.

At least we have a pic of it.

Is Gamestop even open on New Year's Day? I could be wrong, but I would swear they aren't.

There is no official date for wave 3 yet- battlepack included... GameStop confirmed the January 1 date is NOT accurate and is only a placeholder as Wumbo stated... when I talked with GameStop about it, they said it could still even be before Christmas yet, they just don't know until they get the official word or shipment with info about it!!

Sweet. Too bad I'll be waiting for WAVE 2 before I get this (omg this is just stupid..)

Gamestop will hold true, I don't see why they'd say "January" if it ends up coming out before Christmas.

Now, the first might not be the exact date, but I'd say sometime around the first week we'll see it and more than likely the next wave. (I don't see them releasing a battle pack all by itself randomly)

Actually spyroflame, that could be precisely what they are doing. Gamestop announced they are getting this battle pack early, so there is no reason to believe we will see any other figure releases with it. In fact, if they were getting wave 3 at the same time they would probably have that up for preorder as well.

They say "January" for everything. Hitman Absolution had the same date (1/1/13) this past summer before it was announced for 11/20.

I, too, expect the January 1st date to be a traditional placeholder, but if it is, Gamestop will receive some flak from it, as they're blatantly advertising it now:

Yeah, that pretty much settles that. That isn't a placeholder, it is a specific image created with that date - not some HTML field where they needed the value to be non-null. They did not have to put a day at all, they could have just said January - that is deliberate.

^Based on past products, 1/1/13 is in fact a placeholder they use pretty frequently. I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Indeed. The 1st, 15th and 30th of every month are frequent placeholders, and the first date of a quarter (or year) is one of the most common of them all.

It's the fact that they're all "Neener neener neener! We have it a month before anyone else! We're awesome!" about it on the website is the only reason I'm giving it a second glance.

^If they have it a month before anyone else, it won't matter if its a placeholder or not. They can change the date when they get the official release.

When I went to Gamestop today to pre-order the pack I asked if they knew when any of the new figures would be out. The guy there said that while they have no exact date that they have been told that new ones would be out before Xmas.

Ughhh, damn Activision. I somehow am having difficulty not getting the reppsed figures. Now, a figure I want is going to be packaged only with a reposed figure. Ah well, I do love Zap...

Will it ONLY be a timed exclusive in the states? Not Canada?

When I pre-ordered at Gamestop the guy thought Jan 1 was a placeholder date for "sometime in the first quarter". Then he realized Jan 1 was a Tuesday, so he said it could be the actual release date since I guess they typically release new video game stuff on Tuesdays...basically they don't know when it's coming out yet.

You're better off ordering it from the store then online so you can have it on the first day. You can also forget about it since they will call you when it is time to pick it up (hopefully with Thumpback as well, but he might be the last guy released like a wham-shell. Hopefully not).

Anyone know if Hot Dog will be a single here too?
