This is about the S:SA sidekicks, I am possibly going to get one, but,do they even do anything? Most of them are like 15$ for just one! So, thx for the answers.

they are tiny on screen and do nothing other than bounce around next to the real skylander that you are using in the game.

seriously, sidekicks are the most useless items that you can put on the portal.

yes they are nice to add to a figure collection. but, if you are expecting something exciting in game, you will be very disappointed.

Why're they called 'Sidekicks' then?

^ a sidekick is a close companion who is generally regarded as subordinate to the one he accompanies.

in the case of skylanders sidekicks they are so subordinate to the point of being almost insignificant

If you've ever played an MMO, think of them as the companion/vanity pets of Skylanders. I do have one question though. Do they still work in Giants?

Ah, I've been planning to drop massive money on the Sidekicks set too. I thought they would've at least help you fight enemies if anything.

Probably the funniest thing they do is when you're in the air for an extended period of time and they fall...and respawn...and fall again...and respawn again...and...

I have an extra snappy I need to trade for an elf so I can do another Leg.

Honestly, I think the Sidekicks are one of the more disappointing things about the original game, and I'd wager will also be disappointing for Giants if they don't do anything this time.

We're essentially paying the same price of a normal Skylander for one that's half the size and does nothing. (ie, bags are $7.99 plus $2 S&H equals $9.99) Quite honestly, there's a limitless amount of things that they could have done. Increase your attack, or attack for you like some of the character upgrade companions. Unlock an Elemental Gate for THEIR element, rather than your own (So Whisper Elf could open a Life Gate for any character regardless of what the main Skylander's element is). Or any sort of buff would have been great.

Yea I understand what you're tring to say but you are getting a product in the bag for the $7.99. It's not like you're paying that for only the sidekick. There are a lot of bags of snacks in the offer bags that have the promotion. Divide the cost of the bags by the number of snack bags and the little bags work out to be $.39 per bag which is much less than a Wawa or convieniance store. And $2 is fair for shipping considering the overhead of the workers filling the orders.
