Which game difficulty did you choose when you first played Giants?

Chompy Cuddler (Easy), Cyclops Crusher (Medium) or Heavy Hitter (Hard)?

I started off with Cyclops Crusher.

Heavy Hitter, with all brand new guys. We only pulled out the 8 that weren't getting a repose and reset them.

We did our first play through on Medium. Now we are doing Nightmare.

Medium. I have it bumped down to easy after I beat the game so I can go and level up the characters easier.

I'm still working on my Nightmare save but I haven't done much in it really.

My first? Heavy Hitter, but I changed to Chompy Cuddler when my Dad joined in. (He sucks at the game.)

I'm more of a medium person, but when I do feel like wanting a challenge, I try Heavy Hitter or Nightmare Mode.

Cyclops was mine, I'm going to do Nightmare soon.

My first play-through was on Cyclops Crusher. I've beaten nightmare mode too. I usually play on easy to level up, but sometimes higher for a challenge.

Heavy Hitter. The first game was WAY too easy. When I play through levels of S:SA , I can get through most of them in under three or four minutes as one skylander without taking any damage.

I feel any capable player can do it with ease, unless they only have a few characters.

I think my wife and I were tired last night. We went through level 4 and 5 on Nightmare last night and went through a total of about 40 Skylanders. We had a nice graveyard.

When i saw you could pick difficulty, i was like: yessss. Time for hard mode! And i never changed it. I beat nightmare, and i am gonna try a challenge nibelilt proposed to someone about a month ago: beat tje game with a lv 1 skylander no upgrades, and reset after it gains a level, and only use that 1 for the whole game. I will probably not do the last part, which was delete the file if you faint, but wish me luck!

I went straight into hard myself. Also, is it just me? Or is this game way harder playing co-op?

Heavy Hitter, as that is basically the point of challenging your skylanders for hard challenges.

Cyclops Crusher. I heard Heavy Hitter nerfs the EXP and money gains.

Well, funny story about this *everybody sighs* anyways, I played story mode thinking it was on easy, and when I beat it, the WHOLE time, it was on hard, and of course, it took me till the end of story to realize that!

Cyclops Crusher for me in still playing it but only cause Im being a completionist and a very tired college student @ @'

I did Heavy Hitter and then I forgot all about the modes and I couldn't figure out why the enemies did so much damage I only figured out when I started Nightmare mode.

I'm doing Chompy Cuddler so that I could easily fly through the game cuddling Chompies in the beginning, then I'm going to challenge myself on Nightmare afterwards. The only reason why I haven't completed the game yet is because I've been spending most of my time trying to complete every single Objective.

Heavy Hitter, still too easy if you ask me. I'm excited for Nightmare mode though!

Actually, does anyone know if you actually receive bonus experience and / or Gold for playing through the game on a harder difficulty?

Risk v reward is virtually non-existent.

Ah, poop. I'm glad I chose the easiest difficulty then. Might as well use the least amount of effort to unlock Nightmare.

Ah well, sounds like I chose the hard mode for nothing. I figured it was like alot of games where to unlock the extremely hard mode you had to beat the hard mode first and I wasn't about to have to play through the game three times.

I definitely would've started on Heavy Hitter if it meant that I could receive more EXP and Gold from defeating enemies. Other than that, I don't see any other reason why I should waste effort when I can use it on Nightmare once I unlock it.

Maybe so that when you do play nightmare mode you're not dying left and right because you so used to killing every enemy with one hit.

yes. nightmare is better if your used to hard.

I am Chompy Cuddler right now because I am busy leveling up all my Series ones, and I am doing pretty good.

Heavy Hitter but sometimes i swapped to Cyclops Crusher

i swapped it to chompy cuddler after i first used flashwing. she got killed repetitvely until she was lv 7.

I started on Heavy Hitter and ended up going down to Cyclops Crusher.

Secretly, i'm a little ashamed of that.

Heavy Hitter!! I was surprised how hard the first couple levels were since I was using new figures, but once I leveled 'em up a bit, it evened out in a few levels so it was challenging enough to keep me interested!! Now I've been dabbling in Nightmare mode as well as trying to get all the time challenges in Heavy Hitter for the 3 stars!!

Heavy Hitter was surprisingly easy, I'm glad we didn't try it on lower it would have been no fun.

/\ this. its harder when you get to nightmare, as some attacks can 1 hit some skylanders lower than level 6

I feel good I beat it on hard! To nightmare mode! P.S. You get a special hat for beating nightmare mode!

I had bumped it up to Heavy Hitter, but when my friend (who has autism) came over, he found it way too difficult, so I had to bump it down to Cyclops Crusher, in which my friend is a master at it! His favorite is Prism Break.

Imagine what you would do if you didn't have the option to switch game difficulty.

I did Heavy Hitter, and we didn't get an upgrade until the third chapter >.>
