Like I said, there is no solid proof. I was told that when a display is put back up front, it is often accompanied by something big, like a new figure release. But I can tell you this with a fair amount of confidence - The boxes would not be marked with any holding date. They would simply show up to coincide with the display change. If they don't, then it won't happen.

Wave 2 at my local TRU had "do not sell before" dates on the box stickers.

That's probably because they had them before the game launched, though.

That does make sense. I heard a few places put out wave 2 by accident with wave 1 and had to pull them back.
P. s. ssj Derek- I wasn't trying to disprove you or anything. Just wondering if we had any more info as it is the night before. I try and avoid getting up early at all possible points lol

So does anyone know if they changed the Barbie display's back to Skylanders in TRU?

my TRU still had Barbie up as of this morning.

My wife spoke with our TRU today, they opened at 7am for the BOGO sale (and other items on sale) and she had the guys go back and talk to receiving and they didn't have anything in waiting. I always send my wife in to ask those questions as she is a tiny beautiful blonde and the guys are always overweight and nerdy, so they're always really excited to chat with her.

When I ask they usually just blow me off, so I lead with my secret sexy spy, works every time.

Will update you guys if we come up with any news, but so far, no good. :/

I'm relatively new to this board and this is my first post. I went to check my area TRU this morning and the front display was still Barbie. The strange thing was the area where they did have Giants was severely lacking in Giants it was mostly left over S SA figures and Giants starter packs almost like they are letting the shelves clear of the first waves because the next wave is coming soon although still no clue when. I swear the shelves were so empty I heard the theme to a Clint Eastwood spaghetti western in my head and saw tumbleweeds rolling by

Haha, that isn't remotely considered evidence. I like the TRU employees at my store. They are great. But, I have also heard many, many of the most ridiculous rumors passed on as fact. They literally do no know what is coming out next until they unpack it - unless it is a special event. They hear a lot of things from customers, and reps. The reps don't even know when the Waves will be out and what will be in them, they just make sure the displays are up to spec. They are human, they fall for rumors told as fact just like anyone else. They want to help customers. It isn't devious. But, it also isn't very accurate.

My TRU still had the Barbie display up at entrance. The only Skylanders Giants display in electronics had mostly light cores, Giants, and SSA figures.

I have no evidence, i have no proof, but i went to TRU today and they had the skylanders display up. i havent been there in a while so idk if they ever changed it. I asked an employee that hasnt steered me wrong yet if they were getting them this week. he told me that none he knew of, but he said mid-December. then he winked and said, "so i would check back next week".

You can take this as advice if you want, but ill be heading out in the cold next Sunday

Look like Dec. 2 did not pan out. Oh well, nothing else to do but keep on checking. Activision did post on the official Skylanders FB page we would see more before Christmas, so we'll see.

Maybe they meant the Hot Head Frito Lay contest, or the Glitter Variants?

This Sunday would be nice. I went by the tip in this thread and waited in the cold on Sunday the 2nd with a crowd of people wanting Doc McStuffin's (?). Needless to say the Barbie display was still up and all the same Skylanders plus a bunch of legendary Stealth Elf. When I had called the night before to see if the employees knew anything all they knew was that there were no plans to take down the front display any time soon. All I know is that I promised the father of 2 little boys in my family that they would get a new Skylander for Xmas and I need to make sure it's one they don't already have, hence why I am trying to get the newest ones.

^thanks! im thinking this sunday or the next, but it seems like we at least can confirm before christmas. all my TRU's around me have said mid december, but who knows. we know they lie.
