I have Tree Rex, and pretty much that's the only Giant I need.

I do plan on getting the Series 2 versions of my all-dragon team, especially Spyro and Cynder.

But I beat the game with just Tree Rex and my Series 1 dragons, and I have the Series 2 Whirlwind now.

I may get the newer "regular size" Skylanders too.

But I just don't need or want any more Giants.

Why...do....we need....to know....?

My other comment about telling people about posting in wrong area or whatever, does not apply to this one. I am not trying to be mean at all, this just brings no point to this section. I am playing the scene from Billy Madison in my head.....

I think it brings up a point that you only really need one giant to beat the game. Though honestly, Tree Rex isn't my favorite Giant so I plan on getting others.

You could beat the game with one regular skylander also. It is just not as much fun, however.

Well I ment to completly beat it. As in with all the mission and stuff. But my reference is the 3DS version not the console version.

OP is correct from a gameplay stand point. If you aren't dying and you wish to visit all of the content of the game then yes you really only need one Giant.

But from a fun stand point OP, what fun is playing the game without turning your enemies to stone with your laser eyes, shooting chompies in the face with your finger tips, or soaking archers in hot tar and setting them ablaze? You may not *need* anymore Giants, but dang you sure are going to miss out on a lot of fun!

actually, you couldnt. on the level time of the giants you have to throw a boulder to carry on, an act only achieveable with a giant lander.

skylandersgiants is correct. there are several points in the first level where you need giants.

Hmm, I must have forgotten about that part. Only part I remember where you "need" a giant is with the Story Scroll part and jumping. However, you can just fall in the hole that the other guy makes if you don't want to jump.

I must be forgetting about some part.

The dragons all suck (except for Spyro, Cynder, & a little bit of Zap), they were executed poorly in my opinion, not to mention their wow pows are pretty lame (except for Bash's I like his). I'd rather get Hot Head or Bouncer.

I think they just find this topic to be put in the unappropriate thread....And hey, maybe you should give the Giants a chance in your heart...Some you'll hate (Like me with Ninjini, Hot Head, Bouncer, and Crusher) and some you will ADORE! I'm just getting the Newlander in replacement with the Giant I do not like....(ie. Pop Fizz, Hot Dog, Sprocket*, and Flashwing*...)
