Pretty neat, maybe we'll finally get official dates for release instead of just blind speculation. This is tied to your Activision account and for those with Xbox Live or PSN accounts, you can sync them to it.

I tried joining and it told me my email was already in use, so I tired to login and it told me that the email/password combo doesn't exist.....well this sucks

I'm the same. I joined, linked my xbox, and....well, nothing really :/ i can't see any difference or anything special other than i'm now a member on the Activision forum.

I got the same message. It seems to share your account details from the main Activision site, try entering your password from there and it should work.

Yessir. I don't have to join. Even if Portal Club is the first to find out a member will come here and spill their guts b/c they want to be the first to announce.
