Not sure if I have seen this information posted yet but..... if one chooses to unlock all Heroic Challenges available for the 99 in game recognized figures you are looking at 4805 HC's. There are 70 figures that can play in either game making them eligible for all 50 possible HC's and 29 figures exclusive to S:G play giving them only 45 HC's to draw from.

Yeah, that's why I'm glad we didn't get new challenges...

32 old + 16 new = 48. However, they made NEW ones for some of the OLD characters (Hi Zook, Cynder!), allowed some of the old ones to be purchased, and some you can't get at all at the moment and ONLY the original 32 guys can do.

There are at least 50 Heroic Challenges you can get credit for with 'old' edition Skylanders. There are at least 4 'non-reprinted' old challenges, but the 'new' ones will push out some of the old, which means the 'new' Skylanders will have at max around 45 or 46 challenges.

There are the original 32 challenges plus the 16 new ones plus 2 that were changed in giants (Zook and Cynder got new new ones and Chop Chop got Cynders old one). Making for a total of 50. Only characters based off of the original 32 (of which there are 70) can do these 50 HC's. There were or will be only 40 HC's unlockable in S:G with an additional 4 buyable and one already unlocked. This means that the nwer characters not programmed into S:SA will max out at 45 possible HC's. There are 29 figures based on these new 16 characters.

your math is correct. For me, I like all the HC grinding. And the extra power does make a huge difference when you add it all up. Having them all completed by all the characters with all the maxed out elemental powers might just make the nightmare mode easy.

I like the new Purple Chompies variant, certainly... smilie

Some of the new ones are OK. The ice-sliding ones I like (Pancake Slalom and the 'race' one). Zombie Dance Party is, of course, awesome. Other than that, I don't see much difference, but there are certainly a few REALLY annoying ones like Swarm's or Give A Hoot.

TFB messed up on the Heroics for this game, when using Skylanders from the first game.

My fully maxed out Ghost Roaster from the first game, who had 32 challenges done, had his stats lowered in Giants, so that doing the Heroics in Giants, made it so his stats went back to what they were after doing all 32 in the first game.

That royally made me mad.

Yes, the idea is that they can't upgrade exponentially like that. They are OP as it is when they have the heroics done.

My favorite challenge level so far is the gekko chorus, has anyone been able to figure out what they are singing?

The HCs have no effect unless unlocked now, in other words, if you go to SA to do Lightning Rod's Heroic, it will have no effect in Giants until he gets released and registered.

Honestly not sure if this is true. I took Wham Shell and played him in Giants. I had completed 22 HC's with him in S:SA and the stats screen on Giants showed he had completed 22 HC's. When I took him to Callie's he could only access the HC's I had unlocked for Giants but it would appear the stat screen still acknowledged te other 8 HC's he had completed that were not unlocked for play. Wham Shell even unlocked the complete 20 or more HC's with a single figure achievement even though he had not played in Giants yet.

There is some stats translations between the two games that do affect characters with a lot of HC's completed like GM stated. This may require more testing to fully understand.

No, this is how it works. I've tested it. This is what is on mine, both Wii versions.

1. Completing Heroics in SA counts to both games
2. Heroic Stat counts in both games
3. BUT, stat boosts from them (I.E. Speed) DON'T count unless you've registered the Series 2 or LightCore of the character or purchased the Heroic (So if you finished Camo's Heroic in SA it won't count until you buy it from Auric)

I don't think that's correct. I retain all my stat boosts even on my Nightmare save file that has 0 characters owned by it.

I'm planning to log some HC hours in this week so I'll be able to give my confirmation of this in a few days.

I don't like this though because once again it seems like a way to force people into buying the reposes. I have the figures but have not logged a lot of them in the game yet because they are being saved for Christmas for my son and daughter. This being said I have noticed some stat differences in between S:SA and S:G for series 1 characters but nothing that ustifies your claim considering I only have about a dozen HC's unlocked in Giants right now.

So the claim is that the missing 5 HC's will not provide any stats for S:G and neither will Zap, Lightning Rod, SPyro or Wrecking Ball until they are released? You may be right but I am skeptical. I'll get back to you.

I already did all the testing a while back, the new arrangement of the rewards are all on the Heroic Challenge page. The five missing challenges certainly do give stat rewards in Giants, although all five have been modified to reward crit instead of whatever they may have given before.

Thank you dark,

That's what it felt like was happening that stats were being awarded for old HC's but with altered results.
