Anyone have one? Did anyone check to see if he shows as special in Giants?

I have it but I can't check giants because they are Christmas presents

I can tell you that it replaces the normal gill grunt in the box though and it's in a cardboard pullout so there is no way you can keep it sealed and display the gill grunt at the same time.

Green Gill is not any different in game, though he does start at Level 5 / 2100 coins.

Yeah he's not a special, just a regular Series 1 Gill.

Did anyone buy this green gill....if so please post a pic of him in his packaging.

^ There are lots of pics on eBay this morning, including of packaging and figure in packaging. You should be able to get what you're looking for without waiting for someone to take a picture, thereby saving a lot of time.

He doesn't come in the original SSA packaging. He's inside of a cardboard box, and inside of that box is the normal Starter Pack style setup. Green Gill is actually a brighter green than the pics and even a little more transparent. I will take some pics soon if I can, as I do have one.

This is my green gill. The flash made it a tad shiny

He is a lot more of a lighter green than one would think.

And the packaging IS as above in the ebay pic

He's also a softer plastic too, feels very rubbery. One downside is the amount of mold flash on him.

There were stacks of the systems with the Xbox package at the Wally World I went to today.
Interestingly they also had the discounted starter packs and a few HotHeads.
And a bunch of the iOs game, that many folks still don't know about.

Too bad about not being special in the game otherwise I would have considered it.

Well, should I decide to keep my variants (ie they don't sell), then I can say I have yet again completed my Spyro's Adventure collection, since he is a variant from the first game... technically.

GM...nobody cares if you completed your collection...again...ugh.

You know the one thing that I find hilarious? That the whole pack for this clearly is meant for Spyro's Adventure...yet they include a poster for Giants. Wild guess is that this pack had been stewing for awhile, which would explain why GGR doesn't have Special status set.

either you do need variants for a complete collection or you don't ... but you can't make your mind up

It all depends on whether he thinks he can readily get the items or not - I remember the whole Pearl Hex debacle, followed by the Chrome Spyro one.

When it looks like a challenge to get something, why not just chuck the whole thing in and try to rationalise?

I have been looking for two Talisman (board game) promo cards that never made it to Oz. I saw one EBay vendor sell two or three sets of them but he would refuse to send them to me, no matter what I offered. At that time I had no US friends who could have forwarded them on to me, so I missed out. Now I have the means of getting them, have I ever seen them again? Nup! Maybe I should just sell the rest of the collection in a huff as it is all too hard and will take too long to ever be complete?

Don't forget he also lacks the Dark Spyro Single!

ah, but the dark spyro single has the european pegging and he would never collect that sort of ugly packaging... er, unless it is for thegitd fright rider and then of course he must make an exception

Not all of them do. Some from certain countries are sold with them. EB Games in Aus also gave them away with US pegs- I have one and I can take pictures if people don't believe me.
He's also still missing out on the sticker ones like the Tour and Gamescom ones- contradictory as he insists on having Walmart-sticker Drill Sergeant because he finds it to be "Skylanders history".
And the PS3 bundle which makes no sense as he got all the other game pack versions and the Wii and 360 bundles aside.
I could list more reasons I call BS, including that I post on Bean Sprout's Guestbook, but I'm sure someone else will be nice enough to point them out.

Ingame variant for Giants. He is one of the 8 they are releasing (Scarlet, Punch, Royal, Granite, Jade, Molten, Polar, Gnarly). To tell the truth, I think it's cool they used his Series 1 pose, in recoloring him. Ingame, it shows his Series 2 art, but with Roal colors, while his card and sticker show his Series 1 pose. He's everywhere.

I do want a Dark Spyro single, but only if I can find someone selling one from NA, with a single-pegging. I'm sure it will find its way into my lap someday.
