Stealth Elf's Oh No! New Pose [CLOSED]

So.... I am worried about Stealth Elf's new pose, because it seems like she is going to break easily, considering the fact that she only has one flimsy little foot attached to her base. What are your opinions? Feel free to leave a comment! smilie

What the heck are you doing with your skylanders that breaks them?!?

It is very VERY hard to break a skylander from the base. You have to (quite literally) take a knife and saw it off.

The figure actually seems really solid. I had similar concerns before I found her, but they were assuaged after a night with my one-year-old. If he can't break her, it pretty much ain't happenin'.

Most people (not me! I grab them by the element stand!) grab their Skylanders by the body, Stealth looks pretty flimsy so naturally one would assume...

Jin saotome can articulate skylanders.

if he can take em off, why wouldnt your kid be able to?

He uses a hairdryer and hobby knives.

Because he uses his adult strength and tools to do it. My kid is one year old, he's way less capable than an adult deliberately trying to accomplish this. Any breaks would be incidental with my son, and the result of both less strength and less tool-based assistance. So, deliberation and power are the reason why Jin can do it and my kid has no chance.

EDIT: The technical reason with the figure itself is that the body, arms, and legs are all one mold. We won't have arms popping out of sockets like with Chill, because there aren't sockets to pop out of. The head could technically come off, but everything else is very sturdy.

This is disappointing with a lot of the new figures, especially S2's. Sonic Boom seems VERY fragile, and I almost accidentally bent her baby off. They traded cool poses for durability, and for a kids game that's not exactly the best idea.

I still remember a friend of mine who's son thought Chop-Chop was facing the wrong way and tried to 'fix' him. Now all that's left is half a leg standing on a skull. That was deliberate strength, I can't imagine the 'accidents' that will happen with the more fragile new runs.

You literally cannot do that to Stealth Elf, like I was saying. She's not a multi-part figure, aside from the head. Does not pop or pull apart, and due to the more rubbery nature of S2 plastic, incidents like S1 Hex's arms are going to be far less common. The perception that somehow the S2 figures are weaker just because they look cooler is plain wrong, there's no other way to put it.

I am not doing anything that would break them, I am just a little concerned. You never know what could happen especially since we don't a have a surefire storing system yet... Something could...uh..... I don't know I'm just a little worried. smilie

I have yet to have any problems with her so far, but we'll see as the days go on...

i used jin saotomes method... it worked. no way could you break a skylander (besides chill or s2 ignitor) without a blowdryer. i pulled s2 ignitors arm off.
