Went to Walmart, Toys R Us, And Target. First Walmart opened early which i was unaware of, so all of the skylanders were sold out and the stupid useless pathetic dumb idiotic employees never put out gitd Sonic Boom. Then at Toys R Us, their was a HUGE line and a News Truck. Toys R Us was open, but they were only letting a limited amount of people in. Obviously i would never wait on a crazy line like that because i have a life, unlike some people who wait on line. Then at Target, their was a line as well because they open at 9.
BIGGEST WASTE OF GAS EVER

My Walmart had ZERO of the GITD Sonic Boom. I asked multiple people and they sent me everywhere in the store. Nowhere to be found and they told me if they aren't out, they don have them. Will be checking the next town over tomorrow.

Black Friday is by far the most pathetic thing ever, it's a line of people who are to cheap to pay full price and instead of spending family time on thanksgiving they stand in a damn line

I wouldn't say black Friday people are cheap. They are actually pretty smart and money savy. I mean come on. Would you rather save money on the starter pack and used what you saved on extra skylanders or whatever? Now I admit the TV thing is stupid cuz they only got like 4.

First Walmart I went to had none out and the second one had a display case with maybe 10 I grabbed 2

I just ordered 2 GITD Sonic Booms off ebay. The guy was selling 2 for $30.00. I think i got a good deal because the idiot employees put them out early.

The Wal-Mart I went to is open 24 hours, so people were in the store hovering over the items that were still in shrinkwrap. Shoppers could pick up non-shrinkwrapped sale items, but they couldn't get the sale price until 8pm. There was some commotion once the shrinkwrap was taken off certain items, but that's all I saw. The Skylanders section was wide open and only a few people were picking up stuff. I walked right up and got the PS3 Starter Kit, no problem. There wasn't any GITD Sonic Boom figures on the shelf and I didn't ask any employees about it.

TRU did have a long line to get in but it was real orderly. An associate would let a certain amount of people in the store at a time. When I got to the front, the line was still long, but by the time I left, it was really short. The checkout lines were bank style with an associate directing shoppers to the registers. Lines moved steadily and no one was acting crazy. Plenty of L-Stealth Elf and I got one.

My walmart didn't have any GITD Sonic Booms either. They acted like they didn't know what I was talking about :/ Gonna get it somehow though

But I did get L-stealth Elf and Bouncer So all in all good night, can't complain

Wow, I feel sorry for you guys. A Wal-Mart employee actually spilled about 20 GITD Sonic Booms at my feet in the confusion.

You must have had a silver spoon during childhood and got everything you wanted. Reality check is most families in the United States need to save money these days with most companies cutting salaries and prices going up. The sad part is even rich people who can afford full price will go black friday hunting as well. That is the shameful part.

I didnt mean to make it sound that way. I totally understand waiting in lines to get it for a cheaper price, im just saying i dont wait in the lines.

Had plemty at my walmart. They were behind the elctronics counter. At 8pm they whipped em out and spread them across the counter. Plenty available.

Well, I just found out they had no GITD Sonic Booms at my Walmart because my Walmart was open for 24 hours (which i was unaware of) so they put them out at the beginning of the day and then they sold out. But its ok, I got A GITD Sonic Boom off Ebay.

I would never put saving money over my family ever, but my family traditionally has it's turkey dinner in the afternoon so when I left at 6pm for walmart everyone was passed out from all the food so I was in and out before anyone was awake.

We still have plenty available at the Malone store if you're in the area. They had them on an endcap for release at 8 PM.

There was not a single L-stealth elf at my local TRU

Toys R Us gave Vhraina and I six Skylanders figures for free because they had two offers up (Starter packs for $45 and B1G1 for $1) but the system would only allow one at a time. After I rightly called them on false advertising, they made it up to us by giving us the approximate value of a Giants starter pack in free figures. Since we were only there for L. Stealth Elf in the first place, and they randomly had a whole bunch of Wham-Shells, we got two of her (one for play and one to GameMaster up on our son's wall) and four of him (to eBay and buy more Christmas gifts--OMGscalpinglol). Afterwards, they went and pulled down the labels that were lacking fine print about exclusive offers, so I don't think anyone else will be enjoying my loophole at that Toys R Us today, but it's definitely something to try if you want to get some extra stuff at TRU's expense in your area. Not honoring the offers in some way is false advertising if they fail to say they're mutually exclusive, after all.

After that, we got glow Sonic Boom at Walmart, along with a bunch of books to read our son and a $38 LG Blu-Ray player.

So, total haul:

Giants Wii U starter ($45)
2x L. Stealth Elf (free)
4x Wham-Shell (free)
1x Glow Sonic Boom ($10)

What a steal. Glad we left the house.

That is not really something to joke about. Have you ever had to work in situations like that? It could be in some situations that we have talked about the store didn't get any. Having to deal with 100's of people running around looking for something is not very much fun. It's not that these people want to be working their in most cases. Some poeple have to work out at Wal-MArt out of necessity. Even if they want to work at a wal-mart, it is their choice and atleast they are working and not living off my tax dollar.

Got some GITD SB last night...& I just worked 4am-Noon. Just saying. Black Friday is only a win for corporate conglomerates.

Calling people names, MULTIPLE names at that, is not a 'joke'. The employees certainly dont find waking up at 2am to go to work for the next 12 hrs a joke. They dont find screaming customers a 'joke' . If they dont have the item then they dont have it. And I can guarantee you they dont have the time to go looking. Not today. Not on black friday. They barely have the time to stop and take a drink of water between the over-packed store, constant phone calls and nonstop lines. I empathize with these people. And I have pity on you and your outlook on humor.

All I am asking for is some respect, understanding and tact. I wish I was done with college already so I could provide more then a shack and run down car, but i am not there yet. Having worked seasonal at TRU before it is very hard and most employees would rather be working a different job so they could have a four day weekend and have money to shop all day and night. They work hard and are there to help but front line eployees only know whats on the shelf and not much about backroom. The backroom people know about the storage. Even store managers dont know what the coporate task masters have sent to their store by memory. There are too many different items to know it all. in some cases it can be the company distribution centers fault for not getting that one box in the trailer on time before the trailer leaves for the store. I know this to be true cause I work at a distro center currently loading trailers. I have to make judgment calls sometimes when a trailer is almost full of what gets on and what waits for the next trailer. TRU was very smart in having a limited amount of people inside at a time. It keeps trampling incidents from happening and more importantly for the executives it keeps people in a good mood once inside so people are more likely to grab more things then intended so TRU makes more in the end. Never sacrifice the shopping experience for quick cash grab. Hot and sweaty people get irratible quickly which turns off the spending mood. Target and Walmart just dont give an F which is sad.
