Unfortunately, there are a number of indications that we are not going to see the release of Wave 3 this weekend. Bear in mind, these are negative indices, not positive ones. I am not privy to any special knowledge, I am simply drawing on clues we have seen in the past, and things we are seeing now.

First - Today I went into TRU on my way to work to get Battlegrounds, and low and behold, I saw a bin full of Legendary Stealth Elf! I grabbed two and went to pay. The woman working the counter told me that they could not sell them until the 22nd, and called her manager. The manager looked at it and apologized to me about it. So when she went to put them back, I swiped one and . . . just kidding, I would never do that. I told her I understood, and asked her to check in the back for me to see if there were any new Skylanders (wave 3). She told me the R Zone guy would take care of it, and he looked, and came out and told me there were none. I told him it was ok if he couldn't sell them, I just didn't want to waste my time coming back on Black Friday if they were not going to be there. He replied that there was no hold on anything besides L-Stealth Elf as far as he knew, so if he had wave 3, he would sell it to me right then. I highly doubt they would deliver all the L Stealth Elves for hold until Black Friday, but not wave 3 at the same time.

Second - No ebayers. Say whatever else you want about people who sell figures ahead of time on ebay, when we see something like "X figure IN HAND!" it always means that figure is coming out in the next couple weeks. We have seen that ahead of every wave release without fail, but still nothing yet. I suppose it's possible that Activision security was just so good this time that nothing got out, but I highly doubt it.

Third - Skylanders feature at the front of TRU. A manager I know told me that this Saturday they are breaking down the Skylanders feature in front and putting up Barbie, and then the following Saturday, taking down Barbie and putting back Skylanders (So they would be available Sunday Dec 2). He said that putting a feature up front is often accompanied by something big, like a new figure release.

Now maybe I am wrong. Like I said, these are negative indications, and I was told by the R Zone guy that checked for me it was not beyond the realm of possibility new Skylanders could come in Wednesday night. However, it seems really unlikely that no TRU in the nation seems to have wave three for hold, when almost all of them have L Stealth Elf. (I live on the East Coast, and we are usually the last to get stuff, so if we have her, pretty much everyone does.) Anyway, I guess we will see, but it does not look good.

I have to agree with the Ebay thing, a ton of L Stealth Elf out there but NO wave 3. Come on December 2nd!!

All I have to say is........ I need boots.

Dec 2nd is a Sunday isnt it?? and not a Saturday? So does this mean your theory is that the next wave will be on Saturday Dec 1st or Sunday Dec 2nd??....oh my the confusion!!

Uh, Spoons, they take down and put up feature displays after the store has closed. It would be kind of hazardous to do that while there are customers all over the place. So they will take it down Saturday night, and Sunday morning, new Skylanders. (Assuming that it happens this way. Like I said, this is an educated guess based off of clues and past experience.)

December is about the time that TRU starts opening 24 hours in my area. I would guess as derek said they would do it either after close on Saturday or on the Saturday into Sunday overnight. Also, the display that we are talking about I don't think would be that hard to remove. Grab a couple of carts remove the barbies that are left and pop up the skylanders. Pretty simple.

Ok so we are looking at possible availability on Sunday morning if your educated guess pans out!......just didnt want to run out to TRU two days in a row!..lol. Just wanted to clear that up!...thanks!

Zap you crack me up. Honestly on Black Friday, I don't think they will care. It is so effing busy in them stores. It was the day I used to hate working the most when I worked at fast food restaurant. People were grouchy as all could be... too much turkey not enough sleep.

If we see it one of those days, I bet it is the 2nd of December. Not that shopping is a whole lot easier by then but, it is a lot easier then putting out something like a new wave on Black Friday.

Eye think Thumpback is the most overrated one. He gets a ton of love, but he is extremely unoriginal. We already have a man-fish. And his secondary attack is a complete copy of Zap's. And seriously... he barfs... Eye Brawl, on the other hand, is probably one of the most original giants, along with Swarm, Ninjini, and Bouncer. Hot Head is a mega Eruptor, same thing goes with Tree Rex and Stump Smash. Crusher's attacks are original, but we already have a rock golem with crystals. When we were all guessing who the new characters would be, I'm pretty sure nobody thought the Undead Giant would be a headless giant in a suit of armor with a Giant, Flying, Laser-Shooting Eye Ball for a head. I'm pretty sure people thought it was some sort of Gargoyle. Some people did guess a suit of armor, but nobody guessed it to have a Eye Ball for a head.

Eye Brawl is one of the most over rated giants with Thumpback. They are the top 2 overrated.

The skylanders display has been removed at the front of TRU by me and replaced with the Barbie display so so far you are right about that!

I hope I still get a chance to buy Sunburn and Camo before Wave 3 and I hope to get Thumpback when Wave 3 comes out to have more space for anything for my b-day.....

Have you tried your local TRU? After Black Friday, mine pulled out all the stops and has every single thing released in S1. Adventure Packs, single packs, old 3-packs, etc.

SSj3 Derek, I agree with your speculation 100%. You make perfect sense!

My TRU in Cali has replaced Skylanders with Barbie also. So far you are 100% correct. I hope your predictions come true and on Dec 2nd I will be Eyebrawling with Thumpback and Hot digged Dog.

So I called my TRU in CT and they told me they didn't have any boxes marked not for sale until 12/2
