He doesn't pay for the website based on how many posts there are, he pays for a certain amount of traffic/storage a month and if that limit is reached then he has to pay for more traffic/storage use or remove some of the content.

That's why he added the PM inbox limit a while ago, and why topics in the stuff and nonsense section are removed after a much shorter time than the rest of the website.
