how can this many people not have played this game?

this is getting sad now watching how many people have not played spyro 1 and the best part is you can buy this on PS3 but only if you live in the USA

Yup this is what started every other spyro game and so many haven't even played the game that started it all, this bums me out. I wish that sometime in the close future that they release another spyro game that was just like the first three. Collecting treasure, collecting something that deals with the story, doing tasks from the guidebook and MOST IMPORTANTLY having very unique worlds to go to and unique characters and creatures from that world. That's what I loved the most about the spyro games while growing up with a playstion.

Let's give it a rest now. If people really want to give the classics a try, then great. If not, well, too bad (either they don't want to, or can't find the game). Don't know about the other Spyro veterans here, but I think Classic Spyro is better than The Legend of Spyro and Skylanders combined. Seriously, why couldn't they keep the same formula and storyline instead of making a reboot? Not only once, but twice

Agreed. Nothing will ever replace the originals or be better than them. Not by a longshot. And you're right about these people not playing the classics: If they really haven't, don't force them. But I've beat the games countless times growing up and the luster is really too hard to pass. How about just recommending they play it instead of jumping on them? Just wish it could go back to normal... Too bad Activision just wants the $.

I think it's only because that they're are so many Skylanders fans that have come to the site, that it's sort of "drowned" out the LoS and Classic fans, not saying it's a bad thing, it's kind of amusing. Before Skylanders, it was kind of a mixture between both sets of fans, and now, probably since so many kids have gotten interested in Skylanders, and even adults, I guess that's made a large impact, it's obvious from the results up above.

All I see in this site now is just randomness from Classic and LoS fans, and a lot of Skylanders fans in one place, lol.

Well now SuperSpyroFan, you really make a good point there. Like I said, the intention was to introduce the new generation of children to Spyro, and Skylanders became pretty successful. But what ThroneOfMalefor said is also true. All is for the $. I think it was extremely clever of the company to distribute toys instead of unlocking the characters in-game

I started with Legend Spyro but I still played the other games but because legend was my first game it is my favourite and I do like the older ones though anyway.

It's saddening to see so many people who haven't played the first Spyro game. And if it's like, someone comes up saying,"Oh I LUV SKYLANDERS SPYRO'S ADVENTURE! BUT I HATE THAT SPYRO GUY, I THINK HE'S STUPID!" If they had played the previous games then they would have a better appreciation for him.

Also, nice to see Dark Hollow dominating the votes here! Dark Hollow was my favorite for it's darkish, playful scenery and its beautiful music.

I was afraid to click View Results for fear of how many people haven't played this game...scary...

Home. I haven't played Spyro myself because I've got no PS1. But I played it with my friend and that level was actually the one I remember the most.

I actually don't own it either, but my local rental store has it and no one else rents it so I do.

I ACTUALLY STARTED WITH TLOS BUT MY FRIEND WAS GOING TO THROW OUT HER GAME SO I GRABBED IT... BEST MOVE EVER!

I can remember spending a heck of long time trying to find that "God-damn last ninja gem" in Dark Hollow. I forever hate Dark Hollow. >:(

That seems kind of odd especially since this is a Spyro fanbase, but I'm glad that I'm one of the 50% who has played it . I find collecting the gems to be so addicting.

it makes me sad to have only played like 2 mins of the game when young and never play it again, I really want this game and have been looking for about 5, 6 or 7 years.
