I for one am dissapointed that Toys for Bob didn't take thier chance in Wilikin Village to give depth (even a little depth) to Kaos. Really though, scant as Skylanders' story is, I couldn't play that level without getting ideas about a big reveal in regards to Kaos.
Between the false village inhabited by his old toys, the creepy/sad music that plays in the sleeping Village, all the talk of thier 'Master' simply going away and not playing anymore, and above all the creepy abandoned/haunted house in the main area, I thought it was all leading up to a really sad peice of Kaos' history. Something that made him give up his childhood and want to be evil. Granted it couldn't have been majorly terrible given that it's a kid's game, but still, I was hoping for something deeper to make us understand and feel for Kaos.

I think perhaps we may have overlooked something....something..odd.

In the first movie in the game, we see Kaos sticking his foot out for the first time in the series ("testing the waters" of the toy shop portal). His feet are very flat looking, and to me it almost seems like he's got the exact same appearance of a Wilikin

Maybe he's adopted? Maybe Kaos' species is really Wilikin who've learned to be more human in appearance? (or whatever the equivalent is there) Maybe something else?

They already probably planned on Skylanders 3 and are currently work on it like they did with Giants after SSA.

But, seriously. Skylanders 4 might not have a storyline yet. This forum has really good fan-made ideas and I think they are worthy of being published by Activision.

Well, what if they run out of ideas? Even though that'll be a VERY long time from now, they might just look at this forum and use the ideas for the heck of it.

If I had to guess, I would say that a Skylanders 4 will present a shift. It'll be interesting if old characters will be forward compatible from this point. The reason why I question it, is because Skylanders 4 would most likely be released for gen 8 consoles.

Not saying we wont be able to use old characters at all, I just think that moving to the next gen means increasing the toy R&D as well. It will be a good thing though. Microsoft and Sony's next gen are supposed to require online support for ALL games. So Skylanders will have internet support in some way or another. Doesn't necessarily mean online play, but it does mean a silent end to having no patches.

I always thought kaos got his butt chewed by his mom since the skylanders tore it apart looking for gold and beating up monsters. Lol
