I came across the website of an animator and found the CGI commercial for the Spyro: Shadow Legacy. http://studiocassis.com/3d2001/index.html

Lmao if only it looked this good. This game is terrible!

The developers should of used the Heros Tail engine and made it for consoles instead of that low spec turd called a Nintendo DS.

I thought the game was okay except for how slow Spyro runs. Amaze Entertainment and Sierra probably put Shadow Legacy on DS so it could be Spyro's first game on the handheld.

You do know that Spyro had 4 games on the GBA, a handheld system, don't you? I mean they're displayed on every page on the site! >.<

What a ripoff. This commercial makes the game look so good. In reality, its one of the worst spyro games and sadly last one of the classics :'(

edit: okay, after refreshing the page a few times the video has shown up, but it's taking forever to load.

I thought shadow legacy was a pretty good game. I had fun with it, my fourth DS game. Plus it was AHT era [that didn't stink on a handheld like orange did], FTW.
and I just saw the add, that was really epic, it had sparx in it too (dunno why I am suprised with that).It's making me wish it was on the PS2 ._.

Shadow Legacy is awesome,but the ad takes it waaay to far.I remembr watching this when the old website was still on,along with some of the spell information.
...I still don't get why seemingly powerful spells do like 1 damage to anything that isn't Red or the Shadow Sorcerer.

I like this game,but there's a glitch in the Forgotten Realms that makes the game unbeatable,at least in emulator.Even with that issue,the game is way too short for something with so much potential;at least the plot was really well made to resolve the issues that AHT's massively stupid story created;like Red's unexplainable betrayal and the guardians acting weird.Shadow Sorcerer,however,left some questions that won't ever be answered even if they get some of it into new Spyro/Skylanders games,since he's the least known villain...

THE MAGIC IS IN ME

Looking back at Spyro's history, it seems that Shadow Legacy was a precursor of sorts to the Legend trilogy, since Spyro had a lot of combat moves that ended up getting re-used in the Legend games. <.<;

It's too bad the original Spyro had to end as the base for Legend of Spyro gameplay-wise. It's good this combat system for LoS was in Skylanders in favour of giving Spyro fire, charging and headbutting.

Why did they take out the swimming mechanic in the Legend of Spyro? I'm not sure if you can swim in sections of Skylanders either?

...And in Spyro 1, you can't even swim at all.

Yeah.

Considering that they played the previous Spyro games before getting into Skylanders developement, I personally believe that it was a shout out to the game.

Just out of curiosity, I would have liked to have seen their reactions to the previous Goonro games; including the Legend of Goonro.
