It looks like the rock/stone skylanders are rarer than we thought....there are very few available on eBay at the moment.

I wish I could come across one in the store!!...never that lucky though. I'm sure store employees take 90% of em before they even reach a shelf. Would love to get a rock Zook!....he looks so cool

I'm an adult and I have Stone Zook which I've purchased on day 1 and Stone Whirlwind which I've purchased on day 2 and I haven't seen anymore since then

I have two friends that work at two different Toys 'R' Us'....one of them got a gold drill sergeant and the other got a crystal wham shell. In the last year, those are the only variants that came into those stores....I mean different people put them out, and I suppose they could have missed "some"....but considering the volume Toys 'R' Us sells, you'd think there would be more showing up. I've got them all on the lookout for stone variants....still waiting!

I was in Walmart 2 weeks ago looking for the Stone/Granite Zook/Whirlwind on a Sunday morning. As I was looking around a worker (She has helped me in the past ) asked if I was looking for a particular one. I explained to her about the Stone/Granite. She goes on to tel me that they have a $%&! load in the back and would I like her to go get them. You know what I said. About 7 minutes passed so I headed to the Layway department (I thought that is where she went to). Low and behold she had a cart with over 20 boxes (More like 30). Razor blade in her hand, off we went. We got to the last 3 boxes and no luck. As I opened the 3rd to last box, THERE IT WAS... A STONE COLD ZOOK. She had just as much fun as I did. She said that the one find made it all worth it. I finished opening the last 2 boxes looking for Whirlwind but no luck. During the box cutting fun, she also told me that they have all of these boxes but are not allowed to put them on the floor. There was plenty of room and missing characters out on the floor. They had to wait until the Skylander Rep was present. Are you thinking what I'm thinking. Yeah, I got REALLY LUCKY. I think there is a troll in the shipping department of SKYLANDVILLE.

By the way, my son will be pinging of the wall on Christmas Day. Saving the Variants for that day, including GITD FrightRider and Gold FlameSlinger.

I got BOTH of them on day 1..

That is Kwality service from your TRU contact and I'm glad you got a result. Not seen any myself despite a near daily round of checks. As for dodgy skylander reps being present, they should be reported! Better still people on these forums should be Skylander reps and reap the benefits. Its word of mouth that drives Activision profits so why should'nt the fans get a better deal!

A buddy of mine works at my local Gamestop. I just asked her if she can keep an eye open for any variant Skylanders that they get in and she's gonna give me the scoop if they do get any. Crossing my fingers for some stone characters. She told me she got Silver Spyro at Comic Con! So lucky.
