Seeing how there's a ton of discussion, rumors, and countdowns, I would say they've been in a frenzy for a long while now.

I swear, it seems as though these people have no other interests outside of ponies.

The new episode
was great, but Sombra was a worse villain than Chrysalis IMO... Sort of killed it for me. smilie
... Nah, I don't think he was worse than Chrysalis. I just hate how they had him on for so little screen time. I mean come on, he literally had no lines!

I still feel like Season 3's premiere was good, but still a severe let down in terms of story. I expect better writing from one of the shows that proved that you can tell a story without dumbing it down.

P.S. Sombra is probably the worst villain since the Diamond Dogs.

EDIT: Reading into it a bit, it sounds like The Simpsons: Tapped Out. Which isn't really a bad thing, but it's not exactly the best either.

I just downloaded that app yesterday. It's... Odd. The graphics are good, and the overall premise, but the Bits and Gems balance seems very, very off. There are minigames you can play, but they're not very entertaining... The whole thing isn't really entertaining, at least not so far. I'll give it another try later but overall unimpressive from what I played, unless you REALLY, REALLY just like the concept of making a pony village.

What I think:

Honestly, I really liked King Sombra's design, but his lack of speech was a real let down for me. I was really hoping he would speak more, or have the mane 6 properly fight him or something. But I still liked the first episode of season 3, the Crystal Ponies were pretty cool.

HotDiggedyDemon had a panel at Equestria L.A. Here, he showed a 90 second or so preview of Swag.MOV, and said it was to be released December 22nd.

Of course he did other stuff. LivingTombstone commented on the video saying he was being a dick.

I watched the new episode. I though it was quite good, but the villain was terrible.
Hardly any background story, he mostly just laughed, bad design, his motive wasn't clear as to why he was wanting to take over again. To have lots of slaves yes, but what for?

I can't see fans wanting a toy of him or producing much fan art anytime soon.

I'm presuming he died in the end anyway since he cracked in to pieces and blew up. Looks like we won't be seeing him again, good job too.
