GameStop claims there will be five more triple packs [CLOSED]

Most people accept that GameStop's online database is accurate. It lists every future individual figure as well as the four existing triple packs. For example: from it, we know that Hot Dog and Zap will be "Battle Pack" exclusive.

GameStop also lists five additional triple packs. It doesn't specify what is in the triple packs, just that they contain three figures with cards and stickers. What could be in these triple packs? With the existing triple packs, there are 14 figures not already in a triple pack, battle pack, or the starter pack. This means there could be four triple packs for the remaining figures, with one of them being a battle pack containing Hot Dog and Zap. That totals 14.

The Spyro's Adventure figures could all be purchased in a triple pack, with the exception of Wham Shell. He was the only figure available only as a single. So, it would seem normal for Activision to release as many triple packs as possible.

Fright Rider is the only "new" Skylander not in an existing triple pack. This means there will be at least three future triple packs with strictly series 2 figures inside. However, an alternative idea is that Fright Rider will be this year's Wham Shell. He may be only available on his own. This opens up the possibility for a third, unknown, Battle Pack.

Last year's strategy guide described all figures, items, and adventure packs. Does the Giants strategy guide do the same? Does it mention any other items other than the Scorpion Striker (catapult)?

^ Good idea!

If there is a S2 Triple pack, it should have Lightning Rod, Bash, and Eruptor.

My guess was Fright Rider, probably a life character (I said more than likely one from a later set- so Stealth Elf. Also because Zook, Stump and Shroom are all in packs already) and perhaps Fire (Eruptor or Ignitor. I'd lean towards Eruptor because he'll have a later release. Ignitor of course is already in a 3 pack)

Other than that I thought they *should* make one with either the SSA console guys or one with the 3ds guys. So, a 3 pack with Spyro, Gilly and Triggs; all S2 and/or an S2 Dark Spyro (maybe even original?) along with S2 Stealth and Ignitor.

I believe though a more wishful pack would be consisting of old guys who didn't get reposes in a 3 pack. Something like Camo, Warnado and Whammy, Voodood, Boomer and Dino-Rang. This would leave Ghost Roaster and Sunburn as the only ones who won't be re-released (both are in adventure packs, they can just keep releasing those).

It's also possible the LC pack is an indicator of what we'll see- a 3 pack with S2 Eruptor, Drobot and Prism Break.

Excuse me? Can someone point me to that thread please. I'm not ecstatic that I'll have to pay close to 30$ again for one figure (I'm not here for the reposes, I'm only here for the newbies) and it's even more pointless with these "Battle packs" bs.

There are some figures that are for sure not going to be individualized. Like Series 2 Chop Chop and Series 2 Zap. And of course, the legendary three packs will never be split up. Im sure all the new characters will be individually sold though.

I wonder if they would ever have the guts to do a three pack for giant characters, maybe say for $40. Depending on the combination, I'd probably buy it.

There is currently no SKU for individual Zap nor individual Hot Dog (as well as Chop Chop and Shroomboom). It would seem odd for there to be no SKU for these if there were plans to release them, as there is a SKU for literally every other pack, including the five future triple-packs I mention here.

There are 2 lightcore triple packs, one currently available at target, and another that will be available later, so that's 6. I wonder if the legendary is included in that number, which would make 7. I don't think fright rider will be in a triple pack with other wave 1 characters. A fright rider, S2 wrecking ball, S2 drill sergeant set up seems more likely. Remember they did that a few times the first go round with Ignitor and Cynder coming out sooner and then slapping them into a Triple Pack later.

As far as series 1s being in a new triple, the only thing I see remotely imaginable is Wham-Shell or Dark Spyro, squeezing in there. Otherwise I don't see them bothering as the adventure packs are the most common thing I still see around from the first game.

And can we stop complaining about the way S2s are pack with giant exclusives. That is the only way it makes sense fiscally. The only way you can make money on something like this is ensure you sell millions of units. Run a business for a while and you'll understand. You have to make a few moves as insurance policies. And there IS a way to get Shroomboom out of a battle pack. Be patient and wait for the blasted lightcore! I'm sure they'll be plenty available with many parents just being the battlepack before Christmas.

Glad heroic challenges are gone. Imagine doing 165 per skylander. That's 27225 challenges. No thank you.

Wham-Shell? Everyone knows Wham-shell didnt get rereleased.

The only Whamshells out there are grouped with the carrying case no one wants.

Hence why it is so genius. You gotta buy the case to het that last pesky skylander. I should have figured they had a trick up their sleeve.
