I don't know about who's going to be right, but one thing I do know is that better be there whether it's any of the dates everyone mentioned. I mean I would have been patient if it was Sprocket or even Crusher who was not out in the beginning, but seriously, my most wanted figure had to be the last one I need to complete my new Skylanders collection.

No, dragon's peak was apart of wave 4 and the same with Legendary trigger Happy because if you recall. They were released the same time Zook and lightning rod were. however, the two didn't make it to all stores.

Well, all I know is that I have read a couple places that Thumpback was supposed to be packaged with Hot Head at this point, so either they didn't have enough for wide release so he was delayed or they broke a deal with Nintendo to give consumers another reason to be in stores the day their new system is released. Both could land that figure coming out on this mythical release date listed. They are likely to sell another 2500 units across the states or so first day if that is the case. Now, you have kids playing the system at someone elses house before thanksgiving and then what do they want for Christmas?

I won't be surprised if it is only Thumpback. Water is one of two elements that still has more then two standard figures (non-variant), so this also makes sense.

There's at least 2 months between waves. For Giants, there wasn't even a month between wave 1 and 2

Wave 1: October 21st

Wave 2: October 23-28

Wave 3: Predicted to be mid November

Wave 4: I'm guessing early-mid December

I guess kids were losing interest between waves, so they shortened the length.

@Takadox360: Your post seems logical. The release of one giant is good along with two Lightcore
And a few s2 along with the battle pack. But, it makes the most sense if wave three for giants comes out around that time. IMO

@ZapNorris: like I said, why would they make a wave 2.5 JUST to release Thumpback and the battle pack. Dumb idea for them to do that IMO.

@Eyebrawl4616: Just no. Your list is innocent, but they wouldn't release it in a four month period, then they would be done for. Most likely wave 3 in Janurary and wave 4 in Feburary or march.

@TheLurk: see you just cannot go off what an employee says. They could be absolutely wrong and just saying you called and confirmed doesn't prove anything. Why?
Reasons:
1)I just can't believe it because this is just from one person, not from a majority.
2) There is no physical proof other than you just putting it out there that it is.
3) You can't go off what employees say most times because they get confused and they may not even know at all.

It's just hard to grasp that that will happen seeming how wave 2 JUST came out less than a month ago.

I've been checking for anything physical to prove the release date, but nothing yet. I think I talked with a manager for the Bellevue TRU. I DID find proof that they're definately opening Thurs evening though.

Click on the Official Rules link on the contest page. It tells you that the winner will be allowed to shop an hour before the official Black Friday opening, and in a later part of the rules that the time would be between 8pm and 9pm Thurs. I think there's probably easier ways to find this out...or there OUGHT to be...I don't know about you, but I'm kinda ticked. I checked EVERYTHING just to get this....are they waiting for it to be a week away or something?!

I know I don't have physical proof of the 22nd being the release date, but....it really does make logical sense. Right now TRU still has SSA figures for sale. They also have the earlier waves of Giants to deal with. Considering the demand on Black Friday, they could easily clear out a significant portion of those figures, while selling the new ones within hours. Add the WiiU into the mix too and you have lots of excitement. I think the better question than "why would they do that?" is "why WOULDN'T they do it?". I doubt the other stores will feel differently about this. Activision wants its moneh for the season, and Black Friday is a HUGE portion of their sales. The economy has been in the tank too. Last year, they slowed their momentum and lost buyers due to lack of new figures at the right time. They won't make that mistake again if they can help it! They want you to buy and buy NOW! Stores are gearing up to have early sales coming up to Black Friday and even up to Christmas. It sounds crazy, yes, but from a retail position, they may feel they don't have a choice.

Ok the reason I believe that wave 3 will not be released this year is because.

1. Leaveing parents to many choices at shopping time and then spending less than if they would spread it out.

2. Because people like me have pretty much sent what they are going to and don't want to spend more right now.

3. Last, lost islands has skylanders that you can unlock and the only ones that are not out yet are L stealth elf and royal double trouble. It takes a lot of work to update those apps. If they were coming out that soon then it would be in the app.

So tru has confirmed black friday ??????????????????/

I'm on the fence with this one...half of me wants Wave 3 out but the other half is grumbling about hunting again...

I was one of the ones predicting a wave 3 on Black Friday when America got wave 2 in the first week.

I do not think this is a good idea anymore.

Waves do two things: They introduce unreleased material but sometimes more impotantly they rerelease older figures allowing the figures on the shelves to change and older characters to become available again.

With all figures from wave 1 still being available on the shelves and wave 2 just starting to become prominent on shelves wave 3 from a marketing stand point is a bad idea right now.

We will see GITD Sonic Boom, and L Stealth Elf plus perhaps another exclusive but we will likely not see wave 3 until after Christmas at this point.

AND Glitter variants, MAYBE..

I think Thumpback is in wave three cuz he is in 2 commericals and Hot-Dog too same with S2 Eruptor and Ninjini and Eye Brawl arent in any of them.

Here may give some confirmation that we are a few days away from the release of a new wave....

My guess, actual wave 2. WiiU release the same day helps everybody's sales. The key here tho is the possibility of iOS pack coming out too. Putting all that out just before Black Friday would be epic and hopefully mean plenty of stock.

kmart is awful for stuff like that you will get eruptor, drobot, and prism break. It happens all the time with transformers.

idk about Kmart, but when I pre-ordered from TRU I got my items early (even though they weren't officially released yet), I had the Dragonfire battle pack before the Giants game was even out!!! So don't be too quick to disregard it... like Xero said, we'll just have to wait and see what happens with the order... it's not impossible, TRU did it!! lol Sometimes it's more about customer satisfaction and admitting someone screwed up on the retail end (shouldn't have activated the link so early or something) to retain business... time will tell!!

So I get here and they pull the order and its LC Drobot. So I tell them it is incorrect and one of the guys is now in the back looking for LC Shroomboom. If you look at the UPC on the item, it is LC Drobots UPC so apparently there is a problem on the website. This is probably why it is showing up in stock.

Can someone get the UPCs of the other new LCs on Kmarts website and see which ones those are.
