Found this on ebay this afternoon. New possible "Pearl" or "Glitter" variant possible? If this is a fake they did a pretty amazing job with the paint and repack.

Any thoughts or anyone have any info?

Saw this earlier it also says preorder so its probably fake unless some how they know they're getting a very rare varient

EDIT: It's fake! Since Sonic Boom's already getting the GITD treatment, they both would show up "Special" in the game?

Actually. It isn't as fake as we think It turns out that this figure was reportedly received from a friend who is a family member of an Activision Exec. They gave it to him for his daughter, but didn't want her to just tear open the package the second she saw it, so he is getting money for it to get Christmas present for this year. Or so the guy says. It does look pretty legit to be honest.

It does look real, as if they had opened it, the sides of the plastic casing would show the marks of uneven paper and the stains of glue from returning it, and as you said abiut it getting the GiTD treatment, the GiTD is store-exclusiepve and they would have to release 2 glitters. Maybe this wave there is a possibility in a glitter flashwing, as it would match, or if something else, Hex or Double Trouble

The ones that I typically see with the phrase "pearl gold silver variant" or anything to that effect, its a custom painted one. Could be real, who knows? Someone call Activision!!!

My question is if this is a chase variant, why wasn't it released at the same time as the regular Sonic Boom?

It also seems like the variants are getting releases in pairs this time around, in America at least since there is GITD Fright Rider, (Rock Zook, Rock Whirlwind; GITD Cynder, GITD Sonic Boom), even if they are store exclusives. So if this is a real variant, who should be the other?

If this is a pre-order, how did that picture come into existence? Pretty suss to me and I cry shenanigans!

Hmm...well, on most of the variants, aren't the characters themselves colored only? From what I've seen, the bases are the only things that remain normal. (As a default, the gitd Sonic Boom has SB and the babby painted gitd)

Eh. Looks like it's probably a custom.

Actually I thought most of the bases are painted the same as the character, or similar. At least on the ones I have, Blue Bash has a blue base (slightly different color from the character itself), GITD Wrecking ball and Warnado have a GITD painted base, and Stone Whirlwind has a stone base (again, slightly different from the character paint, but still different from the normal paint).

Xerokills, where did you see that? Did you ask the seller a question and that was the response? I guess time will only tell if its real anyway. Interesting that the price was lowered from $500 to $380 though. Still ridiculous, but again if it is a fake, what an amazing job.
