Lost Islands was updated today which included a video advertising the iOS starter, managed to grab this screenshot a few minutes ago after I was able to get the video to replay itself.

My question: What does the Platinum Treasure do in game? The same or something different? Maybe provides more loot?

Notice unlike RDT Platinum Chest isn't marked EXCLUSIVE!

Must admit a part of me wishes it was the S2 pose, just so he'd be that much farther apart from his counterpart on my shelf.
And I've got a feeling the Platinum Chest is still just the same as the original, but silver.

Recent update included compatibility with iPhone 4/5 and iPod touch 4

As far as the chest goes, it will need some use in the mobile games if it's packaged with them and the whole finding a hidden treasure chest doesn't feel like it could work. Probably a once a day bonus thing, or a loot buff.

Has anyone found it yet supposedly being available now?
Also, I hope it's a Gem bonus for Lost Islands. I like the game right now, but Gems don't seem generous enough to buy all the premium stuff.

You get a few gems here and there for leveling up your characters and for opening the big chests that need a giant, but it's a pretty big money sink to pimp out your islands. I could go through my itunes receipts but I'm frightened to find out the tally so far

Not necessarily. The official page confirms that you can co trol two characters at once. No mention of co-op though.

My kids like to play with Grandpops iPad. I'm sure they would enjoy this but then they have 3 jetvacs, 3 S2 Cynder, 5 portals and 3 platforms to play one game ( Xbox, 3ds and iOS ). Think enough is enough unless they do the owners pack. It's to much stuff.

I did see an article with a brief interview with activision that said they intend to bring it to other platfroms. Dunno if I should just et the iOS pack or wait for android..

I'm assuming he's Series 2 (due to the base colour) with the Series 1 pose, just to confuse the hell out of us all.

Royal DT looks pretty sweet. Probably won't be buying it though come Christmas the kids will have more jet vacs and cynderps than they know how to count and we don't have an ipad. I don't play anything on my iphone except angry birds so the only reason to buy this is for RDT not worth it imo unless I can get it really cheap.

Hm...you know, if that's the new stock art, it's worth pointing out the little green "exclusive" or whatever by RDT and Plat Chest isn't there on the one in the ad....

I'm acctually in the process of deciding wether to get a new ipod touch or the mini ipad. Do all 3 of these games work on touch? or do they need pad?

Argh. Why would they put the same characters in there as the console starter packs!? They have to figure this will sell to the same audience! I really don't want to have to pay for Cynder and Jet-vac AGAIN!!!!!

If why must they put S2 Cynder and Jet-Vac, I already have them from the starter pack!

Obviously so we can have even more Cynders on eBay.

I've done that with some figures (in a TRU on launch) simply showing then a photo quickly shuts them up and hurriedly gets the stock in the shelf.
