All information before the release of giants, pointed out that they were not able to upgrade any further than the level 10 in SSA. This is not the case. My daughter was using Camo in giants when i noticed the level bar slowly increasing. Camo now upto level 11. Anyone else have any info on this?

...Yeah, and? We've knwon for ages that all S1 characters can upgrade beyond level 10 - that's kind of the point.

They go up to lvl 15

Yes, all Series 1 figures can go up to level 15 in Giants just like the new models.
What I DO want to know is this: Say you have a Series 1 model and you maxed it out in Giants. You still have some Heroic Challenges that you want to do in S:SA. If you load THAT up and do those challenges (though your cap went down to 10 in the process), does the character's level actually go back DOWN to 10 when brought back into Giants with the new Heroics?

nope it will not. the skylander will return to being level 15 even after playing anything in the first game.

the heroics, however stick with the game. They go forward but they don't go backward. So if a series 1 character completed a newlander's challenge, they wont get credit for that challenge in S:SA.
