I will say while cute...it's not worth trying to sell an Xbox 360 cute, especially since this is going to be another toy that won't look any different in-game.

Please report in wether this Gill Grunt acts or registers differently from a Series 1 at all if you receive one.

I agree, trying to sell a 360 these days would be hard enough...but with S:SA!? If this was S:G the game with the reposed Gill Grunt 2, it'd be a lot easier. The Wii is relatively easy to sell with Giants, to acquire a Gnarly Tree Rex. Wow is all I can say, not sure I've got enough interest in the original series to pursue a new 'variant' (even though it isn't a chase variant).

Actually, since it's just a regular Gill Grunt, with a green base and everything, I am just going to go with 1 and keep it sealed. I may register it through the box, just to make sure it doesn't say Specil Gill Grunt, but just 1 of SSA Green Gill Grunt is fine with me.

I wonder if this will come with the original Gill Grunt and the exclusive one. The picture seems to suggest that. Not that I care about the original, but it's still a thought.

It was enough when we had US exclusive figures. Store Exclusive Figures. Game Exclusive figures (dark spyro). But go out and make full console exclusive bundles? Thats hardly fair.

I thought the goal of the toys was so they could be affordable. $150 in-store hardly seems so. As does the Wii Bundle. I already have a Wii. I can't justify buying another one just for Tree Rex.

Seems like alot of users are getting shafted nowadays when it comes to collecting the figures.

The worst part is (most) outside of America/Canada users that have the first game have literally no use for this bundle other than Green Gill Grunt because of DAMNED REGION LOCK #imabouttounleashmyrage

I wonder about that and we have to remember that the image used is indicative only.

If Skylanders Battleground images teaches us anything is that often stock images are used instead of the actual product.

There is a good chance that the green Gillie is in the S:SA box and not separate. Of course, I am hoping that it is separate, but...

The "shock and awe" approach is seem to be in effect here and the timing is well planned and coordinated. I know it is starting to be annoying but remember that at the end of the day, Activision is all about the benjamins and establishing a stronger presence for the Skylanders brands.

The amount of Skylander merchandise that we are seeing now is also not just for collectors but for everybody (or the target demographic which are kids). So don't be surprised if we start to see some Skylanders underwear in the near future. You also need to know that any franchise targeted for kids will at one point have every known merchandise that they can sell to kids. Just look at franchises like pokemon, beyblade, and even backugan. At one point these franchises have a whole bunch of franchise merchandise available. Not all of them were made available at the same time but they were made anyways. The only difference with Skylanders is everything is coming out in one big push which can be both a blessing (for activison) and a curse (for us).

Even if some of these product do not come out today then you can bet you'll see them in the future. I won't be surprised if we hear about a TV series or movie soon. TV + Toy + Video Game = $$$. It has been a proven formula for kid franchises!

I may buy this, depending if I can sell the 360 and game for about what I pay for the bundle. If not, I won't bother as Gill doesn't appear different in game. We'll see.

So don't be surprised if we start to see some Skylanders underwear in the near future.

Skylanders undies for boys has existed for ages.

I may bite on this one if I can get it online because we don't have a 360, I'm not really too hot on it though because there is maybe two or three exclusives I would want to play on it. I bought the wii with Gnarly too, but we didn't have a wii and I think some of the games would be enjoyable (and cheap considering it's life is nearly done).

You know what would be mean of activision? Bundling an exclusive character with a console. Now that would be mean...but wouldn't surprise me if they did it either.

You're right, that would mean dollars, and rage. Activision's strong suits.

I wonder if gill grunt is green in-game? I asking for this for Christmas cause I don't have a Xbox or S:SA. I was hesitant to buy the wii bundle cause I already have a wii and S: Giants. This is the perfect bundle for me!

Gill won't appear different in game unfortunately.
